I certainly hope they are getting rid of those almost impossible to get into tubs and going with walk-in showers in Jambo. (older person here)
I hope they’ll keep those jetted oversized tubs, I love having the spa tub in the 1 br.s & up. I’m also older & suppose I’d switch to Kidani or use the shower in a 2 br. at Jambo when I’m not limber enough for Jambo’s tub.I certainly hope they are getting rid of those almost impossible to get into tubs and going with walk-in showers in Jambo. . I don’t think they’ll spend the money to do the work required to replace the tubs w/ a nice walk in shower And it's not like cutting maintenance cost will show up as reduced dues...It is disappointing that they keep removing the jets from the tubs.... Just like how they removed the TVs from the mirrors, they seem to just want to cut anything that is a maintenance cost...
I prefer the walk-in shower as well, but think that is *very* unlikely. Families with smaller children really prefer having a tub. Because Jambo is a hotel conversion, there really isn't room for both.I certainly hope they are getting rid of those almost impossible to get into tubs and going with walk-in showers in Jambo
I think this might be part of it. I've tried the sit and swing method, and it doesn't work for me (5'7", but slightly short legs for my height), especially when getting out because the tub surface is slippery wet and makes me feel I'm going to fall. And my legs are definitely too short to climb in and out, again especially when the tub is wet and slippery. Obviously, my simple solution is not to book Jambo!!I'm a 6' 1" man, so maybe that makes it seem easier to swing around into the tub.
I think the DVC 1BR bathrooms at Jambo are big enough to fit both although there are other DVC resorts that only have walk-in showers in the 1BR units. Those tubs are tough to get in/out of when you have arthritis. Getting old stinks for sure!I prefer the walk-in shower as well, but think that is *very* unlikely. All of those one bedroom units except for jumbo and the cabins at Fort wilderness also have a separate tub thoughI think the DVC 1BR bathrooms at Jambo are big enough to fit both although there are other DVC resorts that only have walk-in showers in the 1BR units. I spoke to soon, I believe you're right. All of those one bedroom units except for jumbo and the cabins at Fort wilderness also have a separate tub though
Why not just go with Kidani where you will have a refurbed room and an extra bathroom if staying in one/two bedrooms.Wondering how the timeline for next fall, 2026 is looking for Jambo House? What do you all think about the likelihood of getting a refurbished room in September? It would be a first visit for some of our family and if the construction might be disruptive we might just book the hotel proper and not use DVC.
We are going to get a few studios or a combination of one or two bedrooms. Thanks!
ditto this suggestion! Why not just go with Kidani where you will have a refurbed room and an extra bathroom if staying in one/two bedrooms.
