Refund on an Annual Pass voucher?

I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. Can you get a refund on an annual pass voucher if it had not been activated? I bought the voucher but I would like to just get a regular seven day ticket now. I'd be happy to spend the balance on another Disney ticket, if a refund is a problem. I am just the only person in our party to get an annual pass on our trip, and I want to have the same fastpass plus and magic band experience as everyone else in our group. Does that make sense?

I believe the receipt states no refund or exchange?

I'm not seeing how a 7 day ticket is going to get you magic band/FP+? Unless you were not on the onsite room reservation, and are going to be added, you still won't get a magic band or FP+, will you?

We are all on the same reservation. We are all in the same room. I have read that annual passes do not get the fastpass plus and magic band experience like regular tickets do. I know you cannot get a refund on assign activated ticket, I just cannot find an answer on whether the voucher is refundable. Thanks.

I thought ap holders with room ressies were getting MB and FPP. Where did u hear they are not? I'm concerned because we have AP but others we're traveling with don't.

We have AP vouchers and were able to get MB and FP+ for our trip next month. I just scanned the bar code on the voucher on to MDE using my phone and then we were able to book FP+ I have seen a lot of people here on the dis do the same. Good luck

This is incorrect. Only AP holders without a resort reservation are unable to make FP+ selections. Just like ticket holders without a resort reservation. There are many on this board with AP's that have participated in MB/FP+. I know some have had trouble linking their vouchers but it can be done. Some have needed help from Disney IT to do it.

......(snip).....I want to have the same fastpass plus and magic band experience as everyone else in our group. ........

If you are staying at a WDW resort, you should be able to make FP+ selections by linking your voucher to your MDE account. I have a will-call number for an annual pass that is linked to MDE account and I can make FP+ selections.

I think you can link your voucher to your account and after you do, you should be able to make FP+ selections when you get within 60 days of arrival, just like your family and friends that have other types of tickets.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure the Cheshire Figment said that until exchanged, vouchers kind of operate the same way as a Gift Card. So you can use them to buy other tickets. Not sure if you get a refund if the ticket costs less than what you paid for the voucher. Maybe he will see this post and tell you for sure. Anyway, don't buy another type of ticket if an annual pass really makes the most sense for your future plans.

Local AP holders do not yet get MB/FP+. Those with hotel reservations get them just like guests with multi-day tickets. We all have APs and already have several MBs and many FP+ reservations.

The voucher is not refundable. You can choose not to use it this time and get a multi-day pass instead. The voucher has no expiration (unless it is one of the DVC PAPs sold last year) so you can use it on a future trip. But...all of that may be unnecessary since you will get a MB with your resort reservation, regardless of the type of ticket you have.

My understanding is that there are no refunds on AP purchases. You may however, be able to plead a case and get a one time exception..

If you have an exchange voucher you could always sell it at a discount. They are not attached to a person and can be redeemed by anyone.

Annual passholders and non-Disney resort guests will continue to use hard tickets until further notice

We got MB's and were going to buy our AP's when we got to WDW, but we bought them last week so we could get FP+ in advance. We have our FP+ options on the MB's using the will call #. We are booked at BWV.

I knew this was the right place to come for answers! It looks like I don't need to worry about not getting a magic band and fast pass plus selections. We just have a large party and I didn't want the hassle of having a different experience from the others. Our trip is in January, and my AP is already linked in the online system. I'm really sorry if I alarmed anyone else, but I was alarmed, too. It's very confusing if you have not had the experience yet to know what to expect. I would guess we'll get our magic bands in December? It would be awesome to get them by Christmas, since we are surprising my son with the trip from Santa. :)

I have a DVC PAP voucher will call# and I made all my FP+ for November (staying at BWV).

We have a DVC PAP voucher and a fully activated PAP and both were fine for MB and Fastpass+ bookings

Great thread, I have a DVC AP green voucher, and I just linked it to a Magic Band using the scanning method on my iPhone. I could not figure out how to link it on the website.

I linked it to a band, but I am not going to use it for awhile. I asked at WDW and they said the AP would not start until I went thru a turnstile. (I was on a resort reservation but used different ticket media for park entry, that could not be linked to Magic Bands).

Disney will not refund an AP voucher unless there are exceptional circumstances. And they are freely transferable until activated.

But a voucher is valid forever until used, and can be exchanged for a valid AP no matter how many years have elapsed since date of purchase and date of activation.

I have an AP, and will be staying onsite this month. I also have a Magic Band and have made FP+ reservations for our trip.
