ok my title is a little confusing and I am waiting to hear back from dreams unlimited however here is my question

I purchased a package to stay June 28- July 2 at a good neighbor hotel thru dreams unlimited who goes thru Disney Travel company that is fully paid for (2 adults and room package)

Now I find out my best friend is going May 22 so I booked my flight yesterday for May 21-23 so I think my best bet is to buy the $779 annual pass as I may want to go again before next May

I wonder if the package for June if one of the admission tickets could be removed if I bought the annual pass for May 21-22

Anyway I guess I should wait to hear from my travel agent :)

You can upgrade the ticket to an AP while you are there...no need to exchange it with Dreams Unlimited.
Just go to the ticket booth before the end of your last day and ask to upgrade to an AP.

ETA - It is too early for me to read threads...

I had a similar situation last year. Yes, the TA can contact Diseny Travel and have your ticket removed from the package, but they will need your active AP number to do so.

So, when you return from your May trip with your new AP, call your TA with the pass number. WDT will then take your ticket off the package, with a notation that guest number "x" is a pass holder and does not need admission. This way you are still registered in the room and will still receive the luggage tag, lanyard, pin, etc. They will issue a refund for the price of your ticket.

I think this is one of those things that you're going to have to wait to hear back from Dreams Unlimited. If your package trip was first, you could just upgrade the ticket to an AP before you leave, but it sounds like you're thinking of getting the AP before going on the package trip. I haven't used Dreams Unlimited so I don't quite know what their packages include, but another option would be to cancel both people's tickets (if they say you have to) and then buy tickets elsewhere that you can upgrade to an AP.
