Refund help desperately needed

We went to DLP on May 29th for a week. My Mother in Law and Father in Law were meant to come with us.

3 weeks before we were due to go, my MIL was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was too ill to travel.

My FIL had bought the accomodation and travel direct with Disney on the phone and applied for a refund, which they won't give him as they say they have no proof that the travel was bought direct from Disney!

My mother in law died 2 weeks ago, and Disney are still being difficult about refunding. I don't know the exact details, but can find out.

Could someone give me the name of somebody very high at DLP, so i can complain on my FIL's behalf and sort this out. He's got enough on his plate at the moment.

Hope someone can help.

I can't help with a name of someone, but I recently emailed dlp.guest.communication@disney.com and got a quick reply.

I've booked accommodation and travel direct with Disney before and the travel details were shown on the email confirmation. I would have thought that Disney would have details of the full booking and cannot understand how they can't see the travel booking details.

I hope you manage to get this sorted. Have you tried to phone Disney on your FIL's behalf?
 
Im so sorry to hear about your MIL

However, I dont think Disney will refund you their boking terms clearly state you dont get any refund cancelling so close and Im sure travel is always non refundable. I think in this case they need to claim on their travel insurance.

I dont understand though why Disney are saying they cant prove if it was booked direct with them or not as it shoulde clearly show them on the booking . If not I would get your father in law to check his booking confirmation
 

Thanks for your messages. I will find out exactly what's going on from my FIL. I'm getting the info 2nd hand at the moment from DH. It might be the insurance company that's being difficult.

Either way, I'm hoping FIL will let me sort it out on his behalf, but I might contact Disney on the email Ms Poppins gave me too, to see what they can do to help, if anything once I know the full story.
