Refrigerators in Deluxe resorts

Are there complimentary refrigerators in the deluxe resort rooms or do you have to request them? If so, is there a charge? Thanks!

They are now complimentary in deluxes and mods, and are going through the process of adding them to all those rooms. If you do not have one when you get to your room, you can phone the front desk and have one delivered. You should not be charged.

I understand that Disney is in the process of putting refrigerators in all their hotel rooms. I also read that if you get a room without one (since it takes time to get them all in place) you can call the front desk and they will get one for you. They are free.

Great news! I remember hearing about this a couple months ago but wasn't sure how far DIsney was in the process of installing the refrigerators. Thanks for the quick replies!

We requested one back in Sept. of this year at the AKL. We were in our room only a few seconds when they brought us our fridge. It was free!

When we were at the Poly in Oct, we requested one when we checked in. When we arrived at the room, we didn't have one already so we called down and they brought one up within minutes.

We are at the AKL now. There is a small refrigerator in the room in a decoratiave cabinet. Its actually an Avanti cold box. Keeps drinks cold. No ice cubes.

Just back from GF no fridge but we did request one and they brought it to the room no charge.

That makes sense. The value rooms are so small, though isn't it funny that WL is a deluxe and the moderates are getting fridges.

We were there last week. WL did not have one, but CR did.

The CM at the WL told us that someone had misposted and that the refrigerators were supposed to be in all the rooms by the fall of 2005 not 2004. Since they had printed 2004 when a customer requests a refrigerator one will be given without the charge but they will not all be in the rooms until 2005.

We just returned from the BWI and requested one and received it promptly. Free of charge. We did not have the request on our ressie, we just asked at checkin. It is a first come, first serve basis until they are installed in all rooms. They are, however, teeny, tiny ones.

We just returned from a week at CBR, and there was a fridge in the room. I don't know square footage, but it was a decent dorm-sized fridge, with some storage in the door. No freezer compartment of any type. It kept drinks very cold, but I did have to crank it all the way to 5. The lower settings kept things just cool, but once I turned it up, it worked very well.
