refrigerator at CSR?

we are going to be staying at CSR and i was wanting to know how big is the frige that cost 10 bucks a day.

i guess what i really want to know, do they have a freezer area big enough to freeze a bottle of water.

It is a college dorm room type fridge. Not that large but it has a small freezer that will fit to sport water bottles. We do the same thing. You have to have extra bottles and when you take out the 2 for the day, replace them right away. It will take them that long to freeze.

the freezing water is the only real reason i would get a fridge.

we have 8 days to go and we are trying to get all our stuff together.

We had a small fridge at AKL, but it didn't have a freezer. You may want to call your resort and ask if their fridges have freezers.

Not all the fridges have freezers. Seems to be luck of the draw as to what you will get. I've had both types.

I did not know they had 2 types. Must be lucky because I've always gotten the one with the freezer.

We leave in a couple of weeks for CSR and we were thinking of getting a foam cooler from one of the local stores and taking advantage of the free ice... if that doesn't work then getting a refrig after that. I have heard some people have had luck with that. Any thoughts Buzz, my favorite CSR expert!!!

I have noticed a number of folks on the Families Board have rented refrigerators from A Baby's Best Friend www.abbf.com

Seems their price is better, the fridge is larger, and is delivered to where you are staying before you get there.

We have used ABBF for cribs and strollers but not the fridge yet, but will be on our next trip.

Thanks for the link, that's a good price, $45 for the week! It doesn't look that big, so I can't imaging the size of the ones you rent from Disney. How much can you actually fit in one of these I wonder?

hitchhikingGhost - I thought Disney stop letting other companies bring fridges in? The picture is the same size Disney rents.

r3ngels - we have purchased a foam cooler in the past. Works well for drinks but I don't the water bottles froze like in the freezer of the small fridge. I have also read of guests bringing a collapsable cooler. I don't know how well those work. Ice machines are on each floor though.

I called ABBF, they said they send them to Disney Resorts all the time and even get compliments from the Bell Staff on the way they are delivered. Evidently they have them secured to a small rolling luggage carrier for ease in transporting. No problems reported from any of the resorts.

They did say there was a problem in the parks last summer with jogging strollers, but that was recinded by the Disney rule-makers and are allowing the joggers in the parks once again. What is not allowed are the wagons, and ABBF will tell you that when you go to rent one from them.

well, i just ordered two fridge's from ABBF.
i guess we will find out just how well this works.
they do have a very good price.
we will be there from the 5th to the 12th, and for two fridge's, under a 100 bucks.

When I went I actually purchased a plastic Igloo cooler for 25 dollars during my grocery stop, I left it for the bellman who was more than happy to get it, and It saved me $10 a day for a fridge. It was worth it for me(I had a 2 and 5 yr old) so I could store milk juice some cans of soda(the bottles are $2.50 in the machines) and cream for my coffee.
