refillable mugs - how does it work?

Can someone explain the refillable mugs to me?
- If I buy a mug at the Contemporary, can I refill it at Pop? If not, how can you tell the difference (e.g. mugs are different colors).
- Can you fill them at the parks?
- Can you put soda or coffee in them?

Last time we were down was 2008, with the blue and white Million Dreams theme. Looks like they have gone to something new ? We really like the mugs. They not only serve a valuable purpose while enjoying our stay at the resort, but make for a nice reminder of our time at The World.
