Refillable Mugs (but not what you are thinking)

Hello...

We usually stay at VWL buy the refillable mugs. Its very convenient and we use them about five times a day. Anyway, this trip, we are staying at PO-R from Thursday until Sunday and at OKW from Sunday until Thursday.

That being said, is it worth the time and money to buy them for each of those resorts. I know the resorts are very large and spread out. Not sure how difficult it will be to refill them. Also, both rooms will have fridges, so we could always keep sodas there.

If you have stayed at either place, what is your opinion?

I would not bother at all at OKWest. What I would do is buy them at PO-R and use them there to refill as much as you wanted. Then when you move to OKWest, I'd buy bottled soda (offsite if possible much cheaper) and then fill the mug up in your room with your bottled soda and take it with you to the pool or wherever. Any way that is what we do, I bring the mugs from home and we just put our own soda in it. We've never had a problem. We do not use the brought from home mugs to refill for free.

I would wait to see what building you are in at POR before deciding on the mugs. If you are in a building fairly close to the food court then they are worth it, but if you are in a far off building, then they are really a pain to get a refill.

I totally agree! I stayed at POR once with my then three year old, and believe me, he was not happy to be dragged with mommy to the food court everytime I wanted a coffee or soda refill He said he didn't want to walk, and I wish I'd brought the stroller just for the purpose of getting a refill. It was one of the reasons I deciding not to go moderate after that, because as a single mom it was too difficult to walk so far from place to place (I don't have a dh with whom to leave the child in the room for a sec).

I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong), that during the day, you can get them refilled at the main pool bar at POR. I thought I did that before.
