Refillable Mug Question on DDP

We'll be arriving at WDW next week and I'm not very familiar with the new mug system. We will be checking into Pop Century for one night and then switching over to Wilderness Lodge the next day for the rest of our trip. We purchased the dining plan for our first night at Pop, we won't have it for the next few nights, but then we'll have it the last two nights on a separate reservation at WL. Complicated I know, but my question is how the mug works. Is the mug good for 14 days or how long? Also will I be able to use it when we move over to WL or how will that work? I'm just very confused on how the new system works. Thanks so much!

I'm pretty sure it is tied to your dining plan, so you'll be able to use it at Pop for that first night, then you won't have it at WL until your next dining plan kicks in.

If it's part of the DDP it's set for 14 days when you get it. You should be able to use the first mug during the second portion of your stay.

Yes. I am here now and staying at All-Star Sports. I asked before going to the Boardwalk last night and they said it SHOULD work. So I brought it with me and sure enough.. It worked fine.

Also I checked in yesterday and activated the mug. We check out on the 1st but the soda dispensers says refills available till 1/5. So I think you should be fine.

They are able to be used at all resorts regardless of where you're staying. The length of time would be dependent on how long your mug is active though. Someone who bought a 2 day mug could use it at all resorts for the 2 days it is active. Someone with a length of stay (14 day) mug could do the same for the full 14 days.

Very confused on this. I'm reading that it is automatically good for 14 days, but later it says only if you buy a length of stay for 14 days. Here's our situation:

First night, late arrival on DME, staying at Beach Club studio villa. Then the following day, we will move to the Swan/Dolphin for 3 nights. Then it's 4 nights on DCL. Upon returning from our cruise, we're staying 4 nights at BLT villas. I was thinking about buying a 1 night DDP for our first night. Will the mugs be good for our stay at BLT? What will we have to pay to make them work? At one time I saw a chart that explained the costs of the mugs, but I'm unable to locate that now.

I just read on Allears, that mugs can be purchased for $8.99 for 1 day, $11.99 for 2 days, $14.99 for 3 days, and $17.99 for length of stay. It also said that you can receive them with the DDP.

So my question is this: If we have a 1 night DDP, how long will the mugs be good for? I previously posted that we'll be staying on property for the 1st night, then at the Swan/Dolphin for 4 nights, and then a 4 nt cruise. At the end of the cruise, we'll be back on Disney property for 4 nts, and will want to use our mugs again those last 5 days. Will we be able to from that 1st night of DDP? Will we have to pay extra?

I'm really hoping to find out before we purchase the DDP for that first night. Hopefully, someone will have had the experience of the DDP for their 1st night, and will know how long the mugs will be good for. OR if you have to pay extra, how much it will cost.

If you are getting it as part of a DDP they are auto set for length of stay (14 days).
