Can anyone tell me the process of the refillable mugs at Art of Animation? Do they have hot chocolate? How big are the cups they give you?

According to disneyfoodblog.com, they hold 16 ounces. But the disposable cups they give you when you ask for your refill hold about 20 ounces.

I asked a CM on the WDW app about hot chocolate. You cannot get hot chocolate for free with the refillable drink mugs. Coffee - yes. But hot chocolate? No.

All of the WDW resorts sell Joffrey’s coffee. I’m not a coffee drinker but my DH says that Joffrey’s is ok.

If they’re no longer offering hot chocolate, then that is a change from the past. Some of this may be due to people not being able to refill their own, but in the past there used to be hot chocolate machines next to the coffee machines. And there were times where if that machine was out they would give you a packet of hot chocolate and you could make your own with hot water.

Of course, maybe the CM was wrong. But I tried looking it up on the WDW website and couldn't find the info anywhere. I've never used a refillable mug to get hot chocolate, so I have no personal experience with that specific drink choice.

Awe, okay I missed that part, thank you for clarifying. I'm guessing then it's just a misinformed CM. For whatever reason my girls love to get hot chocolate at Disney, no matter the temp., so we got it all the time, but never had any issues.

The metal cups (Star Wars and Skyliner) are actually a bit larger, I think somewhere between 20 and 24 ounces. They also stay cold longer, we love taking these ones into the parks and pouring drinks we buy into them to keep them cold longer. Just a caution the reverse is also true, it will keep hot drinks hot longer as well, A LOT longer.

I wouldn't base it off the chat CM, ask in person, I am pretty sure hot chocolate is available.

We stayed at beach club last month and used our mug to get hot chocolate on 3 different nights. No problem They even gave us whip cream!

Those are the two locations at AoA. You can also use it at QS restaurants at other resorts, but not in the parks.

The Petals station at Pop Century is closed.

We were at CBR and YC a couple weeks ago and had no issues getting hot choc. with our mugs...I think the pp just had a ....gasp lol...misinformed CM.
