Tavern is serving breakfast for a period while Crystal Palace is closed for refurbishment. This is planned through 2/15. It is not usually open for breakfast so it will be a new experience for most. They will be adding characters for all the meals. Reports are that they will be Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale and possibly Goofy. These were character previously at LTT. Lunch and dinner menus are to remain the same.
Prior to Feb. 15th, CRT is the only other TS option in the Magic Kingdom. There are options at the mono rail resorts. Ohana is a fun, loud character breakfast in the Polynesian. Kona has some very good breakfast options at the Grand Floridian. 1900 Park Fare is also at the Grand Floridian. It's a character breakfast with a buffet. I have not been there to eat. I have also not eaten breakfast at The Wave in the Contemporary.
The monorail resorts are easily accessible and provide an outlet for people who want to escape the bustle (somewhat excluding Ohana) for a respite.
On reread, I noticed you asked for dinner also. Ohana, Kona, the Wave and Grand Floridian Cafe all serve nice dinners. The Wave is one of my newer favorites. There are also all of the signature restaurants that are a bit pricier - California Grill, Narcossees, Citricos and Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge. If you are on the dining plan, the signatures (which includes CRT) are two credits. CG is newer, California style food with lots of sushi. Narcossees is seafood oriented. Citricos is Mediterranean. And Artist Point is US Pacific Northwest. CG can be louder than the others and is usually crowded before Wishes. Artisit Point is probably the quietest of the four.
