Has anyone used redtag vacations for flights? What has been your experience? Flying out of Halifax to Orlando is expensive and they quoted a very attractive price but I chickened out:confused3 Do local tevel agencies match these fares.... in our area, for example, Maritime Travel?

Thanks for any input,

Amy:thumbsup2

Was the airline not matching this price? I'm leery of "online travel consolidators" after seeing people who booked their Conquest vacation through expedia, redtag, etc get stranded having to pay out of pocket to get home and then claim through insurance (if they bought it)when they returned. I book direct with the airline or with a travel agent, period.

I have heard good and bad. I usually use Expedia to book my flights and confirm with the airline. Expedia has been good for flights and accommodations for me. My only experience with red tag was booking my brothers Mexico trip and everything worked out for him.

I could not find the cheaper price on the airline website. That is what sent up the red flag on redtag :goodvibes ..... I was nervous to continue booking. I just wanted to see how others had made out using these sites.

my GF used them before & only ran into a problem once. She was supposed to go to dominican last month & her resort had a pretty bad fire. She didn't want to go anymore but red tag had different cancellation policies than Sunquest did (the tour company) & she had to obide by red tag. Not sure if she'll use them again.
