Quick question, and I thought someone here may know the answer. Our current passes expire 12/31/14. If we purchase the current DVC special offer, and have to cancel our 1/15 trip, will we be able to credit the purchase amount to new passes (most likely at the current rate)?

I believe you will have to call to determine that one because nothing is mentioned in the promotional rules for that low cost PAP about being able to switch it to just a renewal or getting any credit toward anything if you learn you will be unable to be there by Jan 31 to activate it.

That's what I figured. Just thought I would post here first, because between all of us, someone has usually asked MS just about every imaginable question!

Follow Up:

After speaking with 2 MS CMs, and 2 Supervisors, here is the "official" answer:

1. If you purchase the vouchers, they must be redeemed by January 31, 2015
2. If you do not redeem the vouchers by January 31st, they will expire, and can not be redeemed.
3. Purchase of vouchers is non-refundable.
4. If voucher is not redeemed by January 31, 2015, you can get a credit for the purchase amount, and apply this towards new tickets/media of your choice. Tickets/media will be sold at whatever the cost is at the time the credit is used.

The reason I talked to so many people was #4. The first 3 responses I received was that if you didn't activate your voucher by 1/31/15, "too bad, so sad". No refund. No tickets. Nada. I pointed out that this probably wasn't correct because it meant that the purchaser would be getting nothing in consideration for the initial funds rendered. First 3 people didn't think it mattered. Fourth person immediately knew what I was talking about and gave me the answer above, which I find reasonable. She said it's what they did with the last offer if people couldn't redeem their vouchers for some reason by 12/31/14. She also put a note of the policy in our MS file. Hopefully, we won't need it, and if we do, they will be able to find it!
