We're buying the City Pass from Costco. This is the one that has a 3 day Disney hopper, Sea World, SD Zoo, and Universal. Can I turn in my voucher for Disney tickets the night before we want to go, or do I have to do it the same day we are entering the parks? If I can get them the day before, what time are the ticket booths are open until? Also, can I get birthday and 1st visit buttons at the ticket booth or do I have to go to City Hall?

Thank you!:cool1:

You can get buttons at the ticket booths ... I got one for DH in Dec there.

I am not sure how late the ticket booths are open. Usually pretty late. I think it mostly depends on when DL closes.

I am not sure about the city pass question, we upgraded ours when we had it a few years back.

I believe CityPass has introduced a new plastic ticket stock onto which all the ticket entitlements are loaded.

If you have one of those, you can just present it at any Disneyland Resort Turnstyle and exchange it for the 3-Day ParkHopper ticket that is included on the pass. You then keep the card and are able to do the same at SeaWorld, Universal, etc. without dealing with vouchers.

If you are still using the vouchers, you may exchange them at any Disneyland Resort Ticket Booth. The ticket booths stay open until about a half-hour before the latest park closing, I believe.

I don’t know how it works with the plastic ticket, but when we used the Citypass sold through Costco (with paper vouchers) a couple years ago you did not have to go to the ticket booths at Seaworld or Universal Studios. I just went directly to the turnstiles with the voucher booklet, the ticket taker took the appropriate voucher and I was let directly into the park without having to go to a ticket booth.

We used the Costco SoCal City passes last month. It is now a plastic credit-card like thing with a swipe strip on the back. Just go to the Disneyland turnstile and they will swipe it and issue you 3-day park hopper passes which you will use for the rest of your stay at Disneyland. Make sure that you do not lose your SoCal passes. You will not need them again at Disneyland so I suggest locking them in the safe in your hotel room.

This is exactly how it worked for us last month.

As an added note, we exchanged our 3-day park hoppers for season passes on our last day. We were credited $149 for the kids and $179 for the adults, so the upgrade to the Deluxe Annual Passport cost $120 for the kids and $90 for the adults. (We're back for our second vacation to DL now!)

I really liked doing the CityPass first, to try out all of the various So. Cal attractions, then upgrading DL (our favorite, by far) to an AP.

I want to get this straight since we leave TOMORROW!! yippee! Anyway so I have the Costco pass, we go right to the turnstile and they issue the 3 day hopper right there? I don't want any surprises at 7:30 am

Yep, straight to the turnstile. They'll scan your CityPass and print your three day pass right there.
