Just wondering if it is walking distance to DLR, if they charge to park & opinions from those who have stayed here.

Thanks

My mom and I stayed there in November and enjoyed it. The rooms were modern-looking and it was a nice enough place. My mom (a bit of a hotel snob) actually thought it was as nice or nicer than the Paradise Pier, though that was probably mostly due to the super-modern decor and the very friendly service. You do have to pay for parking, but you may be able to find a free parking deal online.

It was a bit of a walk--I had no trouble making the walk to and from the parks, but after a long morning/afternoon in the parks I did take the Toy Story tram back to the Toy Story lot and walked from the lot to the hotel (to save my feet a bit). You still probably have to walk a block or two from the parking lot to reach the Red Lion, but it's not bad. The walk isn't quite as nice as the walk to the Hojo and the hotels over there, in my opinion, but it was OK. I had no problems and felt safe.

Have a great trip!

Agreed. Not too bad of a hike. Plus you can always use the TS tram at the end of the night. Don't look back. Enjoy!

We've stayed at the red lion several times, we found the hotel staff to be helpful and very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and in good repair. On our last stay, in december 2011, we had to pay for parking, i believe it was $12 dollars a day, but we had free breakfast included with the room. On previous stays we got free parking but not breakfast.

The breakfast meal included scrambled eggs, potatos, pancake's or waffles, bacon or sausage, apples, oranges and banana's, cereal, orange juice, coffee, milk or tea.

From our room to the security check, It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the parks, or you can walk over to the toy story parking lot, about 5 minute walk, and catch the shuttle to the parks, we never waited more than a couple of minutes for the bus.

here are some pics.
