Red/burghundy or white wedding dress ? Need outside pictures...

Hey girls,

I am getting married in WDW in 2009, so I am looking for a dress.

First I was sure I wanted to have a red or burghundy dress (with or without white parts). But now I am hesitating : I saw some pictures of DIS brides at Sunset Point, with a white or ivory dress, and it was really beautiful with the sky, palmtrees and grass... I am getting confused.

Do you have outside pictures with a red/burghundy wedding dress or bridesmaids dress ? It could really help me to make my choice...

You should buy what makes you feel most wonderful. I was so sure, like 100% i was going to get a red Hollywood Dreams dress. But when i got to the shop and tried it on the dress was lovely but i didn't feel enough like a bride in it. And to my suprise i got a white dress i had never thought i would be married in white. You'll know which dress is right for you when you try it on

You described exactly how I'm feeling. All my hesitations about the dress, the light in Orlando etc...

Like you, I had never thought about getting married in white, I was focused on red. But I will go back to the shop this week and try some white dresses.

Just a little side story.

I am not small in the chest by any means. So when I went shopping many years ago with my sister (MOH) I told the sales lady nooooo strapless dresses. My sister and the sales lady thought different and said just try this one on. Well I did and that was the dress. When I put it on I just new and my sister started crying. Like a big baby.

I have to say just like your DH. I believe that when you find the right dress you just know. You think to yourself this is the right one and no other dress will do.

Best of luck finding your perfect dress. I know it can be trying, but don't give up until you are truly happy.

I love color in wedding dresses! I knew I wanted color and I bought one dress that didn't have it and a few weeks before our big day found the dress of my dreams and ordered it. It had color and I am so thankful because it looked right with my skin tone.

It was just a touch of navy at the top and around the bottom but I really loved it.

dallastxcpa : you're dress is amazing, there was absolutly no reason for you to avoid strapless dress. I think I began trying wedding dresses with a too narrow idea about what I wanted...

gradtchr : the dresses I tried on were exactly the same color as...your husband top !!! Your dress is very nice because it's still white but with some colors on it.

You definitely want to find the dress that you feel beautiful in. The two dresses you posted are goregeous but if you don't feel like they are the one keep looking when you find it you will know.
