hi there, im currently debating changing from stvs wedding videos. i love the clips ive seen by him & even the sample but they seem too short like an hour long, we have him booked for 9 hours. im also starting to feel the pinch on our budget & hes $1000 more than disney, just not sure if its worth it. i also want our raw unedited video of our whole day & he keeps insisting we wait to see the edited version, well i want both period. so now im reconsidering our wedding video, can anyone please share their experiences with stan at stvs wedding videos, disney & any other wedding video service they used along with how much they spent? i appreciate it, thanks.

I haven't used him yet, but I have him booked and had no problems getting the "short edit with raw footage" in my package (as opposed to "long edit - but no raw footage"). You can also do the "long edit" and as an add-on choose to buy the raw footage for $325. I asked him if the raw footage includes everything that he shot, and he said it does.

I did love the samples he sent me of the "long edit" - but I'd much rather have the raw footage too - I think I'll enjoy editing it myself just for fun
:sunny: I did love his work though, he seemed to really capture the essence of the wedding day. I especially loved his establishing shots in each location

We have watched our video a dozen times and thrice with family...I think you should definitely do the video

Im having the same issue - i love all the stuff ive seen from Stan but he does seem to be more expensive than Disney?

Also he does alot of "special effects" and things - did anyone use these?

oh we're doing a video, its just a matter of us possibly switching to another cheaper videographer vendor. who has everyone used for video & if you dont mind sharing what was the cost?

Stan did our video, and I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about him. When we saw his demo videos vs. Disney’s we felt the cost difference was worth it for the quality. I did have the castle opening/closing special effect, and I really like it. I highly recommend STVS. :)

Hi everyone - I agree with twojo - I know there have been a few other names mentioned on here that people liked and used and recommended... can you please tell us who you used and approx. how much it cost? Thanks.

I am using Kyla Feely from A Cut Above, she is very friendly & accomodating & sent a great demo DVD. I chose a pretty basic package it was $1000.00

The Basic Package

Opening Titles Opening titles announcing the couple.
Photo Montage A flashback of 15 photos featuring the happy couple set to the music of their choice.
Ceremony Two Camera Coverage of the entire wedding ceremony (This includes one manned and one unmanned camera as well as one hour of setup)
Cocktail Hour or video coverage of the still photography session
Reception 3 hour camera coverage with one camera of the special events such as the introduction of the bride & groom, first dance, father/daughter dance, toasts, cutting the cake, bouquet toss, etc…
Ending Montage of the entire day including black & white shots and slow motion set to the perfect music.
Approximately 40 hours of professional editing in post-production

**We provide you with 2 professionally edited DVDs which includes titles and music**

All of Stans packages include the "photo montage" - we've decided we dont want this - does anyone know if he can offer a more custom package?

I went with Disney video for the same reason--that stan seemed more expensive than Disney--but he includes a lot of things that disney doesn't...when it is all said and done Disney ends up costing more.
