The silver lining in the black cloud of Hurricane Milton is that now DH and I are going to the F&W Festival for the evening next Thursday. I have no idea even what offerings they have. Anyone have any good recommendations?

These sound good and interesting - might have to try some next week myself. No clue what the first one is :)

If you haven't yet, you should give the "Food&Wine" iphone app a try. It lists everything available along with a star rating from users. Very helpful and you can map out your plan of attack.

The Raclette is always good! Some people don't like it because it's a bit of a pungent cheese, but I do recommend trying it.

Earth Eats
Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib with goat cheese polenta, puttanesca sauce, shaved pecorino, and petit herbs

Canada
Filet Mignon with mushrooms, Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs mashed potatoes, and Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs butter

Flavors from Fire
Smoked Corned Beef with house-made potato chips, cheese curds, pickled onions, and beer-cheese fondue

Forest and Field
Burrata with seasonal fall fruit, spiced pecans, apple purée, and fig vinaigrette

Hawaii
Slow-roasted Pork Slider with sweet-and-sour DOLE Pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise

Macatizers
Truffle Macaroni and Cheese

Tangierine Café
Grilled Kebabs with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli - Chermoula Chicken

Refreshment Outpost has a mega jumbo zebra dome, if you like those at AKL.
Short rib at France also looks really good and got positive reviews.

Headed to WDW today. We will be at F&W on Monday and next Friday. My favorite is the pulled pork slider at the Hawaii booth. We want to try the cheddar cheese soup at Canada too since we haven't had it yet. Germany is also high on my list! It is always a long line when I've gone, so I skip it.

Was there last month - my favorite dishes (some are regular favorites from all the F&Ws, and some newer ones):

Smoked Corned Beef with House-made Potato Chips at Flavors from Fire
Kahlua Pork Slider at Hawaii
Chocolate Pudding Cake at Flavors of America
Cheddar Cheese Soup at Canada
Truffle Mac & Cheese at Macatizers
Pan de Elote at Mexico
Grilled Cider-brined Pork at Bramblewood Bites
Grilled Bison at Bramblewood Bites
Moelleux aux Oignons Caramélisés at France

Thanks for all the suggestions! That liquid nitrogen sweet potato mousse sounds good, as well as burrata with seasonal fall fruit. And I've always loved chocolate pudding cake.

I know you're going to get a gazillion different responses, but here were our favorites:

Short Rib from Earth Eats

Cheesecake and Chocolate Wine from Milled & Mulled

Fry Flight from Fry Basket (always a win)

Guinness Shake from Festival Favorites

Shrimp Tostada and Mango Margarita in Mexico

Giant Zebra Dome Thing from Refreshment Outpost

Sliders from Flavors from Fire

Frozen Cosmo in France (I mean, this is exactly what it sounds like and it wasn't life-changing, but who is going to say "NO I HATE A FROZEN COSMO"?)

The only thing I'm disappointed in is one thing I saw that sounded interesting-a pumpkin ravioli at Forest and Field. I finally looked at a map this morning, to familiarize myself with the location of the booths and that caught my eye. Anyone have it, and if so, how was it?

I had the pumpkin ravioli two weeks ago. It the favorite thing I had from the booths. My husband had the chili from the same booth. It was his favorite.

I'm just back, and you were so right-that pumpkin ravioli was fantastic! I only had a few other things, but I find it hard to believe that anything else would beat it. Two other things I especially enjoyed were the mango creme brûlée in France (although I admit that I've not yet found a creme brûlée I didn't love) and the liquid nitrogen frozen sweet potato mousse. But I'll be dreaming about that pumpkin ravioli until next year when they'd better have it again.
