I am planning a visit in the middle of August or late September. Is this still a quality hotel to stay at. I remember coming here often in the the 80's with my family but it has been so long i just want to make sure it will be a good choice? If i remember correctly the walk wasn't bad maybe 15-20 minutes? There use to be a Cocos right next store as well is that still there? Thanks :cool1:

Coco's is still there! DH and I were there in 2011 and it was pretty nice for the price (<$100/night). Modern rooms, clean, but a bit dark. Two pools is nice, so you can spread out a bit more. We didn't have any complaints then.

Good to know that Cocos is still there and nice to have two pools. Is the walking time like i remembered? Than you!! :cool1:

We love BW Stovalls , stayed there last 2 trips and again next Feb. Despite the longer walk we much prefer it to BW Park place. We find the rooms cleaner ,pool area the best we've seen compared to other off -site hotels and friendly staff. We also love Cocos and Marri's pizza!

This has been our go to hotel for the last 4 years. I highly recommend it. I have enjoyed all my stays and never think twice about booking our trip here each year.:thumbsup2

We just stayed there in March and really enjoyed it. I would say the walk is about 20 mins, if you cut through DD. I actually think it's an enjoyable walk by itself, so that doesn't bother me. The room we had was spotless, honestly, and newly renovated. Unless you get there the second it opens at 6am, the free breakfast isn't great (it's usually understaffed), but it was fine enough to fill up on until lunch for us. We also found a really great deal (I think it was $83 per night after taxes) on olotels.com. Would absolutely stay there again in a heartbeat.

Its a nice place to stay at, but yes the breakfast isn't the best. It also has an Anaheim Resort Transit stop right in front if you would rather take that than walking. Was a relief to use after a long hot day in the parks.

Do you recall if the price's at Cocos & Marri's are affordable? Where is Marri's located at? Thank you for the input! :cool1:

I agree with this about the walk, it's much nicer than the Harbour Rd side. And you can (or used to at least) cut through Grand Californian to get into DCA. And GC is SO lovely. It's quiet and cold and beautiful and relaxing, so that is a great perk!

We've stayed here before & are staying here again on our upcoming trip! Most of the PPs covered anything that I would say about it. :)
