Help everyone - we are going to be at OKW next week and getting ready to do online check in and I have no idea what area to request. We were on a waitlist to be near the hospitality house and it did not come through. That is the only area we have stayed in. Is Miller's Road the next closest area to the hospitality house???

Any help is appreciated. Can't wait to be at WDW

Penninsular Rd area (#27, 28, 29) is close. Or you could do Turtle Pond section because that quiet pool has a snack shack with food and bar drinks (but it's not near HH). Then, the ones I like, are near the canal where you can watch the boat to DtD go by (#45, 46, 55). I'll attach the resort map for you to see the areas.

If we couldn't get HH then we like Turtle Pond area. A bigger 'neighborhood' pool with snack bar.

I stayed in bldg 18 earlier this spring and thought it was really great with a nice view of the golf course and over to the HH area. The walk to HH was about as short as you can get from a non HH bldg and it is right next to a quiet pool which was very relaxing at the end of a busy day. I thought the bus situation was perfect if I did not want to walk to HH as the Millers Road bus stop is across from bldg 18 and every bus goes to HH as it's next stop. When coming back from the parks I got off at Peninsula stop and just walked back to bldg 18 rather than traverse OKW on the bus for another 10 minutes +.

Is Miller's road the bus stop that has the tight turn around? I am confusing myself.

we've stayed in old turtle pond road 2 x's as well as HH and find it much more relaxing and not far from HH.

I had a room in building 28 and out of the 10 times I've stayed at OKW it was my least favorite. There are so many trees along the fairway, there was practically no view and the room was dark because of it.

My favorite is Turtle Pond water view.

There's an example of why "best place to stay" is so subjective. We stayed in building 28 last year, and although it wasn't the best view we've had, it wasn't the worst either (and like the PP, we've stayed in at least 10 different buildings). And the convenience to the pool and the bus stop made it pretty desirable to us. Now building 40, that was our worst view and the noise from the traffic on the main road made it the worst to stay at. Now, where's someone who loved building 40? I expect there's someone!

We were in building 39 once and they were cutting grass along Bonnett Creek Pkwy at like 6am one morning...HATED that. We could hear road noise from the Pkwy as well. And it was so far from the HH. But the pool with food/drinks counter was nice. Been in building 14 and while location to HH is awesome, the bus noise from there is just awful (as they enter resort and turn into HH). I find OKW to be one of the noisier DVC resorts. The fake wood flooring too...can hear the people above us.
