ETA: Sorry I did NOT realize how long this was...
Hello All!
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for things I can do with my dad. He’s going to Disney with me for a long weekend more so as a favor so I don’t have to go by myself (which I have done and do enjoy!) I got an AP rate at CSR for the second weekend in April, since a hotel with a gym is an absolute must for him. We usually stay deluxe, but I think CSR looks nice even with construction! I have an AP, but he’d have 3 day non-PH tickets. He doesn’t rope drop. I do, so I figured he could just meet me in a park when he felt like it.
Things he hates: heat, crowds, anything very Disney (like Fantasyland rides, crowded parades and fireworks, though I think he’d like HEA).
Things he enjoys: FoP (fastpass is a MUST because rope drop is not an option for him, though I’m an early riser), Boma, Soarin, Bug’s Life (I know, but anything 4D he loves), and Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar (absolute must-do). No DDP this time, but I have the AP 10% off (not much, but something).
This is my tentative plan, making fastpasses on Sunday. I haven’t made ADRs, but am not very worried about it
Thurs- Arrival/Epcot
-F&G food booths
-ride Soarin
-Dad can pick where we eat dinner either at Epcot or Disney Springs then go to Jock Lindsay’s
Friday- AK
-hopefully FoP fastpass
-here’s where I can’t decide among the following:
1. Savor the Savanna
2. Tiffins lunch or dinner
3. Sanaa (D) or Boma (D)
4.Wild Afrika Trek
Sat- MK
-I can rope drop, he can join me whenever
-dinner somewhere along the monorail suggestions welcome. My dad does enjoy Ohana and likes GF
-HEA plaza view dessert party (maybe? I’ve done it and LOVED it so I know it’s worth it for me)
Sun-departure, no plans
I’m usually an uber-planner but with my AP and multiple trips this year, I’m happy to take this one a little slower. My main goal is to try F&G food booths.
Thank you!
