Hi,

DS, Best Friend and I will be at WDW for the Minnie Marathon and looking for good restaurants.

Day 1 we arrive and can eat anywhere;

day 2 we will be at MK till closing 7pm, than we'd like to eat at a resort

Day 3 we will be at AK till closing 5pm

So I guess nowhere in the parks, but looking for good adult-places (not as in no kids, but as in good food and not in a rush)

Tks!

Day 2 - California Grill! Just a quick walk from MK to CR. I went with my sister on our girls' trip in September. We dined for nearly 2 hours, enjoying several courses, all delicious, and delightful wine pairings. I highly recommend it!

I would also second the selection of Ca Grill for your MK day. It's easy to get over there from the park. In fact, if you want to leave the park a bit early, the view of the MK fireworks from Ca Grill is amazing.

For your AK day, I would definitely select JIKO at AKL. Take the bus from the park to the lodge for a very unique dinner. JIKO is usually a more adult oriented place to eat with some excellent food.

You didn't state whether your arrival day was going to include park entry. If not, some more adult type places outside of parks to eat would be Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club, Artist Pointe at Wilderness Lodge, Wolfgang Upstairs at DTD. If you want a special treat, you could go to Victoria & Alberts at Grand Floridian. That meal takes about 2 hours, excellent food and a wonderful relaxing experience.

Definitely go to California Grill. Went with three girlfriends last month, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Had a great filet - practically licked my plate!

I also like Kona Cafe for a good meal (it's at the Poly). Great seafood chowder and sticky wings.

One "hidden gem" is the Tambu Lounge at the Poly. It's right by Kona, and they have the best lettuce wraps I've ever eaten! Great way to pass some time - have some lettuce wraps and a glass of wine.

These are all "non-park" restaurants. My favorite "in-park" restaurant is Le Cellier, hands-down. Had a great prime rib sandwich at lunch last month - fabulous! And their steaks are great, too.

have fun with your friends!

If you can squeeze it in, the Garden View Lounge afternoon tea at the GF makes a nice late lunch/early dinner. Nice atmosphere and a good change from the norm.

Artist Point, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, excellent service. Salmon and pork chops are excellent, love the mac and cheese and sweet potatoes side dish and the berry cobbler is one of our favorite desserts. Its' one of the few we don't share and each get our own!!! :goodvibes

Grand Floridian Cafe has a very nice "feminine Victorian" atmosphere, very good food, and excellent service. Have tried all kinds of meals and dishes here, the one thing that remains constant is the Chocolate Fondue Ganache dessert, YUM!!!

Wolfgang Puck Cafe, excellent food, trendy atmosphere, can get a little noisy but not bad. Butternut Squash Soup, I get the pumpkin Ravioli with chicken and husband gets the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken. We like these so much we have not tried anything else here.

We are empty nesters and these are our 3 favorites, we do not rush when we go to Disney World, and usually will get a nice wine/drink, nice relaxing meals.

I'll be there in May, I am just curious when the Minnie Marathon is! Where is it?
