My two girls can be somewhat picky eaters--what would be a good world showcase restaurant who might appeal to them? Thanks!

Biergarten has sone great entertainment, and even though it is German food, it is a buffet and there were kid-friendly options like mac 'n' cheese and hot dogs when we went. They also had some good pretzel rolls! We're going back there this July! My kids were 3 years old and 14 months old last time we went...this time they will be 5 and 3!

A lot of people also enjoy Teppan Edo in Japan. They cook the food in front of you and it is a whole show. Since we have hibachi restaurants here that we go to with the kids, we haven't been to Teppan Edo.

It probably depends on what kind of "picky" they are. What will they/won't they eat?

I like the previous poster's suggestion of Germany's Biergarten. I avoided it for years because I wasn't thrilled with the idea of German food. When I finally tried it, I was pretty impressed. There was a wide variety of great stuff.

Le Cellier has some good steak that they can probably get without any "fancy" sauces.

I'd probably avoid Morocco, and France. Nothing against them, I would just say their food is some of the more exotic/rich.

Teppan Edo !

Do they eat rice? My picky daughter even loves Teppan Edo...she loves the Shrimp.

They have chicken, and filet as well..

The show is LOADS of fun...

Hugs,
Mary

Thanks. I would love to go there. We have hibachi grills around here, but I don't think they would like that. I am thinking either Biergarten or LeCellier for lunch--maybe France. Does Remy go there? Odd likes burgers and pasta. Ydd likes hot dogs and chicken nuggets. They both like pizza. Thanks for any help.

I am not sure if someone has mentioned this, but we LOVE eating in Italy. I have two smaller kids and both are pretty picky. But in Italy, they can get personal cheese pizzas and I think, if I remember right, they have fried cheese as an option. My kids LOVE cheese pizza, and it was good cheese pizza, too. Not out of the freezer standard menu pizza.

Italy is my 9 year old's favorite place to eat now...You may want to consider eating in Italy.

Coral Reef is fun! You can watch the fish! Also, Biergarten or Akershus maybe!

We ate at Akershaus last year so looking for something different. It is down to:
Italy,
Biergarten or
LeCellier--

What do you think? Best atmosphere and food for picky eaters?

We're going to book Le Cellier. I figure that we're going to Disney for our 4 year old so she can at least go to a dinner of our choice once :).

Well, from what I recall on the kids menu at Biergarten, they have mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. They have other choices, too, but I'm having a hard time remembering them, lol. My daughter loves to dance to the music players down on the bottom floor when they preform. My shy is usually too shy, lol. One thing to consider here - even though the event is very memorable and fun, if you have a smaller party, you will most likely be sitting with others. We went the first time with a party of 7, so we had a table by ourselves. The second time, we were just us (4), and sat with another family of all adults (3 of them). If that might make your kids uncomfortable, I'd skip it until you have a large group. It's definitely worth trying at some point though...it's really fun and we've always had good food and service.

Le Cellier is wonderful, but so hard to get adrs for. Also, my kids never seem to be excited/want to go there. They like the food, but it really seems to be a little older crowd on average. That being said - they have all the choices that you need/want, plus you have to be happy, too - and you will be here. The bread basket is really wonderful too (3 different kinds - plain, sourdough sticks, and pretzel bread sticks) if you girls like bread - both of my kids, do, so they are very happy with that. If you are on the dining plan, this may be a good deal for you before your girls move into "disney adult" dining price range in the next couple of years and you'd have to pay more to go there on the dining plan ;)

Italy - we have only eaten at the new pasta place once a few months after it was opened. The food was good, but we may be picky because hubby is 1/2 Italian and we make it homemade a lot. I'm also a little biased because when we went, we had the processional package. I went to the bathroom when the bill was being paid and came back and my hubby handed me the receipt to put in my purse. I didn't look at it until about 15-20 minutes later as the kids had decided they didn't want to go to the processional, so we left the park and I looked at it in the car on the way back to our villa. The waiter had failed to inform my hubby that the processional package had an auto tip of 18% included and my hubby didn't check it, so he tipped another $25 on top of that. So the waiter got a double tip. I was furious. Needless to say - we haven't been back. But, it's really not fair for others to base their choices and likes/dislikes based on our one time experience. Maybe we just had a bad waiter, plus we (dh and me) both felt kinda duped and stupid. So, just because we won't go back doesn't mean it's not worth a shot for others :)

We did go to the Garden Grill a few years back and it has mac-n-cheese and chicken nuggets as well. Both of my kids liked that and the characters, but I think they changed the characters to night only. Not sure if you're looking for dinner or lunch?

Most of the eateries have kid friendly meals, but I think Beirgarten is a great choice.

Coral reef has pizza on the kids menu. Plus they could look at the fishes.

I have to vote against Akershush as far as food goes- I'm a picky eater and the food was not too appealing to me. That being said, it was such a fun place to eat because of all the Princesses!!

I have to recommend Chefs de France. They have fantastic macaroni and cheese and yummy desserts! Plus, Remy, from Ratatouille comes around!! He's adorable and very interactive with guests.

We did Marrakesh in 2008. Loved the entertainment. The food didn't go over well with our DDs though. The spaghetti was "odd" to them. So they picked at it.

In 2009 we tried Biergarten. It was a hit with everyone. It was top of the list of "have to do again" for this year. The food & the entertaiment were enjoyable.

I would agree with Chefs de France - Remy would be fun and they have a kid's menu - your kids would be young enough to order from that. My kids are picky too and we're going there next trip - as long as there are chicken strips/nuggets or hot dogs they will be fine.
Mine enjoyed LeCellier fine, but it was not entertaining. Teppan Edo was a lot of fun for them and they just ate chicken and rice.
We are also trying Coral Reef next trip too - hope it's good!
