Hi,

I am new to all things Disney, and find myself so overwhelmed with all there is to learn!

My husband and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary during our upcoming trip to Disney. We will have our 2 girls with us, ages 4 and 9 months.

I would *love* some recommendations on what would be a memorable dining experience for us. I don't want the fanciest, but sit down service is a must. (I read that Boma is amazing, but not sure I want the up/down factor of a buffet.)

A little entertainment with our meal would be great - timing dinner with a parade or fireworks, or some type of performing - I love the thought of a little fun. But not something so overwhelming or loud that we can't talk. Plus I feel like constant, loud noise starts to stress our daughter out during a meal (someone said the restaurant with the aquariums is quite loud due to the glass).

It will be hot weather so sitting outside anywhere is not an option.

We love all types of food. We are flexible about what time we eat, although I'm not big on super late eating, especially with kids in tow.

I know many of you are lucky enough to go often and know the ins and outs of all Disney has to offer. Thank you so much for helping me plan a special occasion!

I'll be there in two weeks celebrating my 11th anniversary with my 4 year old and my 19 month old girls. So, I'm in the same dilemma as you. I have Narcoosees at fireworks time booked, but I'm worried about dining with kids there... so I'm debating switching for Kona Cafe (Poly) or Mama Melrose in MGM (good Italian food). If you like the idea of Boma, I've heard that Jiko is quite good - it's also at the Animal Kingdom lodge but it's not a buffet. If you'd consider going to the Swan by shuttle, I've heard that Il Mulino is almost as good as the NY location.

Hope you find something perfect for you guys! (and me too!)

After much discussion and a change of plans from having a adult-only night, we decided on Raglan Road. Granted, there wasn't a lot of choice by the time we changed our minds, lol, and no one seems to want to give us their Le Cellier ADRS, lolx2, but we hope we like it. They have a band and a dancer later in the evening ... we're late eaters anyway coming from the western part of the U.S.

California Grill might be a good option. You can see Wishes from up there. Narcoossees is another. We had a nice date night there a couple years ago; you can go out on the porch to see Wishes. There were lots of kids about there yet it feels casually sophisticated.

How about 'Ohana at the Polynesian?
It can get loud at times but not so loud that you can't talk.
They have coconut races for kids. Food's good and there are kid options if your little ones don't care for the adult choices.

You can either eat early and then go see Wishes and the water pageant on the beach, or you can eat later and see Wishes from the restaurant.

We were very rushed at 'Ohana and are not quite ready to give it another try yet, but we will at some point - we'll just make sure to tell the servers we intend to take our time!
