Recommend some restaurants please

We'll have our first visit to Universal this year from Dec 27th to Jan 1st. Looking for some recommendations for restaurants and something for NYE. We can't do City Walk on NYE as we have 2 kids (12&10) with us, but I believe that the hotels do stuff as well as the parks. They are well up for the late night/early morning. Heard that Mythos is very good, also Finnegans. Any others? To give you an idea of what we like, our favourite Disney eateries are

Le Cellier
50's Prime Time
Biergarten
O'Hanas

I understand that some can be booker via Opentable.com, what about the others you may mentions. Also is it necessary to book as far out as 180 days (time of year?)

prices will be higher at some places for the celebration.

maybe do a lunch that day and a dinner in the parks or at a hotel.

check out the menus that are listed in advance to see if the food will please you.

Finnegans is one of my favorites.
it has a variety of food types.

it might guide you better than what i have posted.

We LOVE Mythos. Be aware that if the parks are not open late Mythos will close early so you might want to plan lunch there.

we liked Finnegans as well. The food was really good.

If you do Citywalk we really liked the atmosphere (and the food) at Hard Rock Cafe.

We also enjoyed Pat O'Brien's.
