First time at Aulani Mid Oct this year. At the moment we have one night in an island view studio and 3 nights in a pool view one BR …. 2 adults no kids so want a nice view while also not wanting to deal with a lot of noise from the kids although it’s Disney so we know there is no avoiding it totally. Any recommendations on room requests or pictures of views would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's going to be hard since you have a pool view room. Perhaps ask for a room overlooking the adult pool?

Will probably spend resort time at the adult pool and beach for sure…Is there a lot of pool noise in the upper floors?

There are no pool view rooms on the upper floors. The upper floors are ocean view.

Remember, Aulani doesn't actually call them "pool view." They're called "Poolside Garden View."

Poolside means the inside of the V. The adult pool is on the outside of the V. Everything on that side of the Waianae tower (rooms ending in 03, 05, 07, 09, 11, and 13) is Island Garden View up to the 7th floor or Ocean View above the 7th floor.

We just stayed in 1484 which is an ocean view but also faces the pool, EWA tower . It is noisy if you are on your balcony but fine in the room with the slider closed. Have fun😊

We always do ocean view eva tower and 9tjh floor and above. If you get below 9, the noise from pool can be loud.

Rooms ending in 06, 12, 52, 70, 76, or 82. 5th floor or lower.

06 and 12 are by the splash pad, 70, 76, and 82 are near the water slides. 52 is near the lobby and Olelo Room.

We arrive on Saturday and are staying in a 2 bedroom Island/Garden view.

We requested a EWA Tower high floor....fingers crossed for a decent view but I am fine with anything....we will be in Hawaii!!!

Aloha!

Personally I like pool view on the first floor. You walk out to a patio instead of a balcony. The railing opens up to walk out. We've stayed in the first floor of the Waianae tower which is closer to the quick serve. I'm up early and can walk over to get coffee and hang out on the balcony. When we our kids were little we could have one parent walk them straight out to the pool while the other locked the door and went the long way.

Not for everyone, some people don't feel those patios are as private. The sliding doors only lock from the inside. For us, when I end up with a poolside gardens view this is my choice.

I always wondered if those rooms are intentionally walk-out, or if people were just doing that when they really weren't supposed to.

I think I'd still prefer Waianae 3rd floor for access to self-parking versus 1 for access to the pool, but those two are definitely the best for convenience.

I don't recall anybody ever being informed they weren't supposed to walk out to the pool from those rooms.

Me neither, I wasn't trying to be clever and claim I know anything or that PP was doing anything wrong. I honestly just looked at those rooms and thought "hm, it kind of looks like you're walking through the landscaping here and I'm wondering if that was intended or if they want you to go around."

Thought the same thing at copper creek pool side studio …. We did it but it did feel like we were doing something wrong …

There are gates on the rails and some have more of a path through the landscaping. We never had to trample anything to get in/out, it seems planned. That may vary by room, we had a 1bdr.
