Recommend a Chicago hotel?

There's so much to do in Chicago, I'd just stay downtown - you'll be cabbing it anyway. It's really a short ride to the field museum, planaterium, and aquarium. The museum of science and industry is great - enjoyed it much more than the field museum. I took my 10 year old dd to see Wicked in NYC and it was incredible - make sure to get tickets months in advance (I think my DH got them 3 months out).

My favorite is the Hyatt Regency Chicago. I looked it up, and it is 1.6 miles from the Field Museum.

We stayed there last year and paid $99 on Hotwire. It was sooo nice! The rooms were clean and very modern. The bar is great too. They have HUGE martinis.

We usually stay at Embassy Suites but on our last trip we got a killer deal at the Wyndham. We walked to American Girl but took cabs to the Field Museum and the Shedd Aquarium. Are you going to see the King Tut display? We're going in Nov. I've heard it's really nice. The t-rex they have is incredible. Definately a must see if you have a dinosaur fan. Navy Pier is also a fun place, but we were there in the summer. The wind off the lake in winter is brutal. We took the train up the first week of April for a girls day at American Girl. My ears were numb before we make it two blocks!

If you are looking for airfare between Florida and Chicago for March - I'd buy now. I think Southwest has released their rates that far out....

You are looking at Spring Break travel time and I think about 25% of Chicago is headed toward Florida. Deals are hard to find and prices will most likely only go up. The Southwest Internet rates usually sell out within hours of being released between Chicago and Orlando (or anywhere warm) in March.
