recommend a cheap reliable taxi service from airport to LBV?

Can anyone recommend a cheap and reliable taxi from Orlando airport to the Buena Vista Palace on Lake Buena Vista?

No recommendations, but you really don't have a choice. At the airport you'll go to ground transportation and be assigned to the first available taxi. There are no "cheap" taxi's - they will all be charging the same rate. Expect a taxi to cost you ~$60 to LBV.

I found this on the BuenaVista Palace website as well. Depening on the total cost and your dates a last minute car rental may work out less actually.

Other transportation options
The hotel does not have a free shuttle to and from the airport. Mears Transportation provides shuttle service to the hotel and leaves the airport about every 20-30 minutes. When you arrive at the airport, proceed to the baggage claim area to purchase your tickets, which currently cost $21.00 per adult and $17.00 per child one way or $34.00 per adult and $27.00 per child round trip.

If it's just one or two of you going, I would go with Mears. I used them before DME became available, and I had no complaints. For three, I think the price of Mears and a limo are about the same; for more than 3, the limo would be the best price per person. I've never used a limo, but I've heard good things about *********** and Happy Limo.

OK, that's interesting. Apparently, DISboards has some issue with the first company I listed. I mentioned them because I know that PassPorter boards recommends them.

If you go for the Mears shuttle be warned this can take some time!!!! Last Feb we did this and the shuttle went everywhere before we was dropped off at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista...I think it took at least an hour and half before we actually got out of the shuttle.... On the other hand you could be the first drop off!

Personally after your long flight I would aim for the taxi and get there in 20mins!!!

If you dont mind public transit the Lynx system runs a bus from the airport that stops at Downtown Disney on Lake Buena Vista. A buddy of mine did that and we met him at DTD. It cost like $1.75.
