We're going to a party this Sunday and the host is requesting guests to bring a dish to share that requires no re-cooking or heating and no utensils.

I would like to bring something that is more unique than just another plate of cookies, brownies or cheese cubes.

Does anyone here have any unique ideas to share?

Thanks for any help

also my infamous crabmeat mousse also requires no utensils and only scoop with crackers..
2 cans crabmeat
one can of cream of mushroom soup
one eight ounce cream cheese.....
half cup of finely chopped onion and celery
one cup of mayo....has to be mayo
2 1/2 tablespoons (same in pkgs) unflavored knox geletin dissolved in half cup of water....
heat all on the stove except the geletin mixture....when it is hot stir in the geletin mixture and remove from stove....pour in a 5 1/2 cup mold and refrigerate.......we put ours in a fish mold....and what a nice presentation......when it is firm ....put on a large serving platter.....put crackers around it and it is done.....very very easy and very elegant too

I was going to suggest nachos, with a layered taco dip too.
My sister makes a great one. The bottom layer consists of cream cheese & sour cream mixed with taco seasoning. Then there is a layer of salsa, then lettuce, chopped tomato, shredded cheese & olives. Its always goes very quickly at our parties.

I was thinking of something like Nachos but I figured that it would require heating up to melt the cheese.

Crabmeat mousse sounds good.

Cucumber Dill Appetisers

1 soft cream cheese
1 cuke - washed and sections peeled, then cut into thin slices
1 loaf of small sliced party rye/pumpernickel breads (found at deli)
fresh dill, chopped fine

Put a thin coat of cream cheese on the slice of bread, top with a slice of cuke and sprinkle with dill. Enjoy!
