recieved my package from disney concerning ressies/luggage tags but i need your help!

yesterday i got my package from disney. it contained info on our trip including when check in time was for us at the resort. it also included two luggage tags which had a picture of cinderella's castle on it. it was one of those optical illusion pictures.......the type where if you look at it a certain way the picture changes. it changes from the regular castle to the 50th anniversary addition.

but what i'm wondering about is this:

on one of the slips inside the package it said that a "transportation booklet concerning magical express and luggage tags will be sent out in a seperate package 21 days prior to your arrival". well, if this is the case, then what are those other 'tags' that i described for? are they just commemerative tags or something? it's not 21 days yet for us since we arrive on june 13.

can someone clarify this mystery for me please?

I received the same info you did except my tags have Tinkerbell on them. I was told by another member that those are just luggage tags that Disney is sending out as a little gift. The other tags they are talking about are suppose to be bright yellow, have all of your information already typed on them with a bar code. I leave Sunday and I have still not received my yellow tags. You may want to read all of the comments and suggestions listed under the Transportation board to see what everyone is saying about the ME service and the yellow tags. Have a great trip.

I talked with Disney Travel yesterday and asked the lady about people getting their luggage tags so late. She said that there have a been a few slowdowns, but she believes that most of those issues have been resolved so things should run more smoothly.

They had a delay in sending out the Magical Express packets. My AAA Agent just called to say mine just arrived late yesterday evening for my departure on the 16th. Looks like a lot of people are getting them about a week before at least for people leaving in May.

However, their # is 1 866 599 0951. You may want to call to verify you are in their system - I wasn't at first even though I put that information in when I booked my vacation. They also said if you don't get your luggage tags/voucher you can still use the service. Meet the disney reps at the airport and give them your luggage claim ticket and describe your suitcase and they'll get your bag (um, ok "black suitcase" ) I guess the idea is to have something on it to make it unique so it's easier. And they will verify your hotel reservation and get your bags and take you to your hotel.

well, i didn't do anything special to get the 'other' luggage tags. they just shipped them to me. i guess as a keepsake or something.

You get them when you book a MYW package, not for room-only. They sent the same type of tags with the old DreamMaker packages.
