Rechargable Batteries???

Hi all, my digital camera eats batteries. I am looking at purchasing rechargable batteries. Is one brand better than another? Which ones do you like for your camera? Who has the best deal ( P.S. I do not have a Costco where I live only Sams )? Thanks for any and all replies.

I've had loads of uneven experience with rechargeable batteries. What I've learned is this: The batteries do not matter as much as the charger.

It was able to recover six of eight batteries that the chargers that the batteries came with were unable to get a charge into.

I use Duracell and purchased the starter package with the 30 minute charger. I got it a few years ago at Target on clearance for like $15. It was the charger and 4 AA batteries. I have since replaced the batteries and I have also gotten AAA batteries too. The charger will charge them as well. I love my charger. Before that one, I had another Duracell, but it was a 2 hour charger and that was also a package deal with 4 AA batteries. That one was like $30 something several years ago... I always carry a spare set of charged batteries in my camera case.

I have energizer batteries and two different energizer chargers.

This one I do not like very much. The batteries never seem to stay charged as long.

The energizer rechargable batteries work well in the kids toys. However, I have never had much luck with them in my camera. I tend to buy the Energizer Ultimate Lithium for cameras (not rechargable).

It will be interesting to see what other replies you get.
