Are there any places that you really dont need to pay extra to decorate it? Being a out of towner, i do not want to have to decorate a hall and pay the extra money...

anyone have any ideas? Pictures? Ive seen the attic and i know thats one :)

Atlantic Dance Hall is a great one that doesnt need much decorating.

Here's a pic, ill edit and post another when I find a beter one

OOo how nice...but how big is it? I only have around 40 guests

Wow thank you so much for those picures!!!! I cant believe how beautiful that place is! I cant wait for my site visit!

You don't need to decorate the attic at all. It is beautiful the way it is. I don't have pics of it right now on my work computer but if you go to www.mouseweddings.com. They have pictures of the Attic on there. It is perfect if you only have 40 guests.

Yeah, I am leaning towards it... and when i saw the carosel horses from marypoppins...i almost died!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

But its a beach theme so Im afraid the victorian-ish look may not go.... but i am not sure. I think I have to figure it out!

I believe the maximum amount of people you can have at the Attic is 35. There is not much seating since it is mostly arm chairs and such. We wanted to have a farewell breakfast there and were told we couldn't because we have 45 people.

The California Grill is another place that doesn't need too much decorations IMO.

I'm also wondering the same thing, specifically loctions in the Boardwalk/Yacht Club area?!

Oh man, I have to defend the Attic! :cutie:

The max number of people at the Attic is 50. It is located at the BoardWalk Inn, upstairs from Jellyrolls, so it has expansive views of the lake.

Also, its decor is extremely beachy - it's all pastels, wicker furniture, floral cushions, etc. When I think of Victorian, I think of heavy draperies, dark woods, dim lighting, and carpets everywhere - pretty much the opposite of the Attic:

Just had a thought (dangerous I know!)...is it possible to hire out Jellyrolls for a reception?! That would be sooooo cool!!

Oh, they'll prolly tell you that the Attic is too tight a fit for 45 people and you can't remove the furniture... :sad2:

Yeah, they said we can't because since it is january it might be too cold to have anyone use the patio area. I was thinking of just inviting immediate family but with a $2,500 F&B minimum for like 30 people I think that is a lil steep.

2500 works out to be $83.33pp. That isn't that far off of the minimum of $75pp. You could possible just add one or two more items to the menu or go for a higher priced (fancier) entree.

I don't think you have to meet the $75 pp minimum when having a rehearsal dinner or farewell breakfast. We weren't trying to use it as an actual reception location. We just think thats a little hard to swallow for breakfast lol. We can go to a character breakfast and have a big buffet and a lot of fun for like $25pp.
