Recent Visits to Jiko/CG?

Hello,

I know this is an old topic, which to choose between Jiko and California Grill. But I checked and Jiko's menu changed recently and so I'm wondering if anyone here has gone RECENTLY to Jiko and/or CG and could give some insight? I'm taking my family for their 1st time to WDW and want to enjoy one nice meal together outside the parks, and I'm having trouble choosing. We loved Jiko, but it was a year ago when we last visited. Not sure what you consider recent, but I dined at both in early to mid January. I usually go with CG for the family because the view adds to the experience. The food was very good at both, but I give the edge to Jiko. Service was excellent at both, but again...Jiko was just a bit better.

Thanks! Yes, any recent experiences from 2020 helps. I really liked Jiko, but Pete just posted a video of top overrated dining experiences and Jiko was number one on the list and I was shocked

I had really good meals at both California Grill and Jiko last month, but I think I prefer California Grill at the moment.

Jiko blows cg away. Not even in the same league. Jiko focuses on a small menu and kills it. Cg is more about the location and the menu is too large. Jiko is in our property top3. Cg doesnt even make the top 10. We have tiw and eat on property every other weekend so we try all the restaurants.

I'm late to the party and although I like both restaurants, Jiko is by far my favorite of all restaurants at WDW.
