Recent stays at Camelot Inn or Best Western Anaheim Plus Inn?

I changed my dates to arrive a couple of days earlier and these 2 hotels are available. Any recent experience with either of them? They seem to get ok reviews online but some of the reviews are from a year ago.

I mostly want to know if the beds were comfortable and if there is any reason to avoid either of these places (loud, dirty, didn't feel safe etc.)

We have stayed at both in the past year, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Rooms were clean, beds were fine, close to the parks, no outside noises bothered us.

We stayed at both recently and would give a slight edge to Camelot even though they do not have breakfast. Our room was a lot quieter at Camelot and feels like a higher end update. That being said, we would stay at the best western again if need be. Both had great customer service. Have a great trip. ☺️

DH and I stayed 5 nights at Camelot this past December. We asked for a room in the back away from Harbor and that was granted. We found the beds to be comfortable, room was very clean, and the walk to the parks very easy and safe.

We stayed at Best Western Anaheim in September. We would easily stay there again. The only noise issue we had (top floor towards the back) was the garbage truck early in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We skipped the breakfast all but one day because it was sparse due to the pandemic. When we stayed there a few years back the breakfast was very good. We'll be staying at Camelot on our upcoming trip and I'm hoping we like it.

Thank you! I ended up going with Best Western since they had the suite available.

Quick question- How is the walk? In the reviews I've heard anywhere from 5-10 minutes.

Also, any room recommendations? I was going to ask for top floor near the front. We're getting the 1King 2 Queen suite.

I just stayed at BWP Anaheim Inn in February and had stayed there before two years ago and I love this motel. The only negative I really have to say is that the pillows suck, lol. The location is fantastic, the breakfast is good, I could go on and on. Great customer service, also.

The walk is incredibly close- 5 minutes to security, I'd say.

Has anyone had any problems not being able to park your car onsite? It says you can pay for parking, but if it's full they valet your car somewhere else. Is this true?

Are you talking about Camelot or Best Western?

How early does the breakfast start? Any problems parking your car on property? I saw on their website it says that they might have to valet your car off site if the lot is full. Anyone ever had to deal with that?

Oh, I'm sorry! I meant Best Western.
I stayed there in June and we had no trouble at all with parking. We arrived around 12:00 and they let us park while we waited for our room to be ready. We went to the park and then came back at 3:00 to check in. We left and came back a few times during our stay and were always able to park.

I think breakfast started at 6:30. You could call and double check. They were super friendly and easy to deal with, I emailed them with a million questions before our stay. :)

I did ask them about the parking, and they said they can't guarantee a spot onsite because they have less parking spots than rooms. The alternative is they valet your car somewhere else. We really don't like the idea not knowing where our car would be and not having access to it in case of emergency. Trying to figure out how often they actually run out of room.

I wouldn't like that, either! Hopefully you'll be able to find out.

I pushed them a little bit and they said it's pretty rare for the lot to be full, but they can't guarantee you a spot even if you request it. With our luck, it will probably be full the one time we're there, so we're likely gunna choose somewhere else.

It's interesting that they won't reserve you a spot. Best Western Park place has the same ownership. When you make a reservation there, they send you an email, and ask if will have a car, so they can "reserve space for you."

For what it is worth, we stayed at the Camelot Inn a couple weeks ago and loved it. They only do valet parking and always have parking. It seems they also have an overflow parking between the hotel and the Tropicana (their sister hotel). We loved the valet parking and the employees were so nice. They always made sure to greet us when we were walking to/from the parks and would always say hi to the kids. We drove to Legoland one day and you just text when you are ready for your car. They always had it at the front waiting when we got down there.
