Recent (ish) 'family' TRs - help please!

Hi

I've been reading some of the recent TRs which are great but I wondered if anyone could help me out please?

I am going with my DH and children who will be 7 & 10 (girls). So, I just wondered if there are some people with this kind of family 'scenario' (or close), who have done TRs could point me to reading them please?

I have read many 'couple' TRs, or even all adult parties, and they are great but I think quite different to the sort of WDW holiday we will experience with two young-ish girls.

If there are also some with OKW stays, I'd love to read those too .

Hope it's OK to post this, the index is great, but it doesn't really give you much info about the 'make up' of the TR and therefore going through them all would take a lot of time....

Hi, I did a we're here kind of thread rather than a trip report for our last family trip in August 2013. We have 2 boys aged 5 and 10 and stayed at SSR for 2 weeks.
As I'm on the iPad I can't copy the link to that thread but if you do a search for "We're back! In Derby that is" on the thread search hopefully you will find it * see below *
I mention what restaurants we visited and rides etc so hopefully that will give you some ideas. The boys aren't fussy eaters so that made restaurant choices so much easier.
If you need any other help please feel free to ask

To go to the post click on search in the blue bar under the forum display
Go to advanced search and and put my user name
When I've just done it it was at the top of page 2 as it was last updated on the 1st September

If it were me, I'd go to the resorts board and find the OKW thread. Although not specifically a TR thread, people post questions, answers, and their own experiences as well as plenty photos on there.

Then go read some general family TR's. I see you are planning well in advance and chances are, by the time you go, plenty more would have changed, especially with all the updates going on at the moment. You may be best just getting general information in the run up and start getting more specific closer to the time.

I've read a fair bit about OKW and checked out the specific posts.

I am really after family TRs just really to get a feel, get excited, look a photos (and yes, I know it's waaaay off yet). Not really for specifics iyswim. There may be something I think 'oh I must add that' but it's not really for that. As you say, things will change, although a lot will stay the same (apart from prices ).

There is not really any way of knowing if a TR is a family one - there is no distinction between those of couples / adult parties and families unless you click on everyone and read through

I just though some people on here might have been happy for me to read about their family's trip and could point me in the right direction to do so - we all love TRs on here .

Lots of photos though.

2 boys (9+10 at the time), so possibly interests differ a bit, but not far off.

We're back there this October . What time of year are you going?

In summary, we LOVED OKW, beautiful resort and I would recommend it to anyone. We also stayed second week in a villa off site and tbh my girls preferred having their own pool to go in. We felt that splitting the holiday was the perfect combination for us. Both my girls also loved Seaworld.

I did a website where I blogged daily and posted photos. We are a family of 4 and our boys were 9 & 4 at the time (August 2013). Have to wait until 2015 for the next one :-( www.Wdw-Wilby.com
