Recent Fantasy Cruisers - I have Q’s

June Fantasy cruiser here - If you are a recent Fantasy cruiser, could you tell me if the basketball courts are fully open? Also, if more of the Vibe restrictions (pool, smoothie bar, etc) have reopened? Is the pay extra ice cream shop open? I saw popcorn has returned!

If you can’t tell I have a DS14, only child, that is significantly older than when we originally planned to take our 3rd cruise I’m trying to make sure he isn’t bored. And seriously, no popcorn was almost a dealbreaker for him. Teens! Lol Thanks in advance for any info!

Just on the Fantasy at the end of March. My daughter loved Vibe. The pool was open, but there weren't smoothies. One tip we noticed was that the navigator app was not always very accurate about the times of vibe activities. They have a dry erase board up in vibe with the daily schedule that was more accurate. She was never bored and wanted to leave excursions early to get back to Vibe.

I'm in the same boat (ha! Literally). We were supposed to do this in 2020 when we would have had a 10 year old and a 12 year old. Now we're going to have a 12 year old and a 14 year old, so I'm hoping the Vibe keeps them just as busy as Oceaneers did!

Just chipping in my opinion too, but remind your son that he can choose Edge and/or Vibe as a 14 year old. He may like to check out the activities on offer in each space and see what he would like to do. From experience, a lot of 14 year olds prefer to be the oldest in Edge rather than the youngest in Vibe.

Just checking that you are aware the 12 year old will not be able to go to Vibe? They can go to the Club/Lab and/or Edge. The 14 year old can go to Edge and/or Vibe so they could still be together in Edge if they want to. The 12 year old can of course check out Vibe during Open House times.

It’s always great to have the crossover age so you can choose what to do. Sorry, I misread your post and wrote daughter, I have since edited the post. Obviously been working too hard and can’t read properly haha

I only have one child, he is 14. He has just been on several cruises. Started out Oceaneers, the Oceaneers/Edge and now Edge/Vibe. He is working his way through the DCL kids clubs.

lol Exactly! I like to indulge. I am not running to the scale. This child was all "I'm gonna gain as much as I can" lol and ran to the scale when we got home to tell us his victories!

We have a 14 year old and a 10 year old - they allowed our 10 year old to be in Edge and we rarely saw either kiddo. Always something fun for them to do and they wanted to stay on board because they loved all of the activities so much. Plenty of adult only time on deck 12/13 and lots of time to relax. It will be great!
