Can you tell me info about this piece of mail? I'm the same schedule as you but my mail was stolen last night. Did it come in a normal size envelope? do you remember who it was from? I had a piece of mail from Rewards Processing Center and no clue what it could be but this fits the sad bill. (USPS Informed Delivery is enabled so I have email scans of the front of the envelopes that were stolen.)Here's a data point for all interested:
I signed up for the $200 Gift Card offer on the Disney Rewards Card (NO Annual Fee Version)
Applied: 8/7/17
Met $500 Spend: 8/16/17
Statement Closed: 9/7/17
Gift Card Received 9/29/17
There was a letter with the gift card dated 8/21/17...not sure how it took 5 weeks to mail this letter, but there you go folks!
Gift Card was received 44 days (just over 6 weeks) after meeting the minimum spend, Roughly 3 weeks after my statement closed.
Unfortunately that's probably it...I threw away the paper and envelope but I have my informed delivery email from yesterday - here's what the envelope said:Can you tell me info about this piece of mail? Ugh. By 1 day I missed it! Figures. Thanks for the response. Time to go to bat with Chase apparently, I'm not giving up $200 this easily! I already requested they cancel the gift card and issue a new one, stay tuned folks!Unfortunately that's probably it...I threw away the paper and envelope but I have my informed delivery email from yesterday - here's what the envelope said:

If it did get stolen - I'm sorry. Hopefully Chase can replace it for you.

No such luck, the only mail the post office had was what they hadn't yet delivered. I'm happy your person got caught! That's awesome! (Our police do their best not to laugh if you report something that doesn't involve copious amounts of blood so steal whatever you want where I live- gosh do I need to move!)Ugh! I feel for you on the mail stolen thing.
We had this happen in our neighborhood a few years back. The thief rode a Metro bus into a shopping area close to us and then walked our streets a couple blocks away from the bus stop.
Not sure what he was looking for but he dumped most of the mail on the ground near a company's dumpster. This was after my neighbor spotted him going mail box to mailbox and called the authorities. Apparently he did this for days or weeks because a lot of soggy mail was recovered.
I did get some of my mail back, unopened. I guess it looked like junk mail and not a check. I had earned some Marriott Certs from a program called Freeride. Fortunately for me he wasn't interested in that. And he's still in jail as tampering with mail is serious business.
Sorry you're going through all of that. They may not be responsible for lost or stolen gift cards but they are responsible for fulfilling your offer...and YOU didn't get a $200 Gift Card...Perhaps they should consider spending a few more cents and shipping this in a more secure method. I hope they make it right. So Chase SM says they are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards and that my card was issued on the 27th. I'm gonna wait a week and give them a call since I never received the card. What a freaking mess. I'm gonna give them 1 chance on the phone to make good on their promise of a $200 gift card and if they say tough luck off to the CFPB I go. Good news for others: when googling today I saw the offer on the premier card is now a statement credit for anyone looking into it- you won't have to go through this!
I think I have a decent shot because I have no qualms about using the CFPB and this is the premier card so I was charged an annual fee and Chase failed to deliver on their end. Exactly the sort of case they like to see! But, I have a good relationship with Chase right now so I'll give them a chance to make right first.Sorry you're going through all of that. The difference there is the 200 is separate from what you earned on the card. Disney dollars earned on the card can only be redeemed onto a Disney Redemption card (readily available at Disney properties as you found out) but the bonuses given as gift cards are different and can't be put on the redemption cards.my wife's gift card arrived 3 weeks after spend requirements were met. Seems like last year when I applied for gift card the original 200 was pretty quick, but when I requested a gift card from the points earned later in the year, I didn ot recieve card. after a month I called, they said it must have been lost, they shipped another one and that never came either. in the Meantime our trip was upon us, they told me to go to customer service at the park after we arrived and when i showed them my card they were able to give me one there. a couple of extra hoops but did eventually get it all...
