Recent Carthay Circle Menu

My daughter and I have lunch reservations at Carthay Circle next week, but the menu on the app and on the website shows holiday themed appetizers/drinks/entrees (lots of cranberries and peppermint). I looked at other menus online, and most are even older. Does anyone know if there is a better place to see an updated menu?

Yes, I was there last week for lunch and we go the same menu that is currently in the app. I'm not sure if they strictly follow the calendar, but it is still winter.
Maybe they'll switch for March?

Yikes. Holiday Toast and Holiday Peppermint desserts aren’t appropriate for that expensive of a restaurant in March in California.

I hope Napa Rose’s menus aren’t similarly going stale.

Right, that doesn't sound appetizing to me at all in Feb/Mar. I'm surprised they are still on the menu.

Those are just the names of the dishes. They aren't necessarily "holiday" foods. And, it's only 2 out of 18 items on the menu. The other items aren't holiday themed at all. It's still winter, after all, until late March. These are winter seasonal menu ingredients like squash, root veggies, etc. Remember that they make the menu based on what is in season currently.

I'm happy with the local seasonal produce. I was only surprised at the cranberries in several dishes and the peppermint in one of the desserts. I'm sure we'll have a wonderful lunch. In our many visits, we've never eaten at Carthay Circle before.

Even if we agreed not to consider them Holiday themed foods...why haven’t the holiday names been removed?

For example the holiday prime rib and turkey were not on the menu anymore, and I think the holiday desserts were gone too. The soup was also different, it was a potato leek broth. It’s still the winter menu but it’s been tweaked a little.

I can't remember who it was but there was a comedian who had a routine that there are actually only a certain number of fruitcakes that just keep getting regifted. (It was funnier when he said it).
