I will be doing the Boo Bash on 10/26 for my birthday and haven't seen any recent reports. I remember seeing in August and I believe September they were selling tickets day of for SOLD OUT nights, are they still doing this? I also saw on Undercover Tourist that Character Meet and Greets were coming back very soon to the parks. Has anything changed as far as the Boo Bash is concerned? Any recent postive reviews/feedback? i have seen so many negative reviews but I'm EXCITED for my Disney/Universal trip and trying to stay positive as I have been looking forward to this for a long time.

They've been selling tickets (and all of the events are currently listed as sold out). Talk to Guest Services at any park or DS (and the recent reports is that you don't have to wait until the day of the event). Boo Bash has a new distanced M&G, I believe - with villains. That's the most recent change about which I've heard.

Thank you! Anyone heard about distanced meet and greets of other characters like maybe Pooh and friends?

I can confirm that you do not need to wait until the day of the event. I bought 2 tickets at guest services 2 days in advance of a “sold out” boo bash in September.
Sorry- can’t comment on the new m&g.
have fun!

Pooh & Friends have been “meeting for selfies” on the crystal palace porch since the party started similar to how they were during the party less 2020

OOO!! What do you mean by meeting for selfies? Are you saying I can get a socially distanced photo with Eeyore dressed as a clown? At the last MNSSHP we went to, I missed the opportunity to get my picture with Eeyore and he is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! After reading reviews of the Boo Bash from August and September, I thought Pooh and Friends were just waving and interacting with people as they walked by and people were taking pictures OF the characters.

I have to say I am a bit bummed they are kind of secretly selling tickets for these "limited capacity" after hours events. I have never been to an after hours event and I remember reading reviews of some after hours events in the past and people LOVED how small the group of people in MK seemed. I was hoping for this when I bought tickets in the summer. But, of course, nothing I can do about it. I am planning to have a blast!

Absolutely. We took this on 24 SEPT this year. That is someone else's family, but with no faces so I don't feel guilty!

Here is a pic of piglet from non party 2020
Pretty much you can stand in front of the porch and take selfies

I totally agree. I don’t know why they bothered to have a limited capacity & list them as sold out. We have been to several regular AH events before 2020. They gradually increased capacity for those over the years but nothing like this. And once those were “sold out”, they really were sold out, no day of tickets. We bought tickets to 2 different nights & there were waaay more people there than other AHs we went to. Certainly less than a prepandemic party. But not the empty park feeing we’ve had before.

But are they selling new tickets and increasing capacity or are they reselling the tickets that they allowed people to exchange because they weren’t able to make it. If it’s the latter, I don’t have a problem with it. They technically didn’t have to allow people to exchange their tickets but since they are, in my opinion, they should be able to resell those tickets.

My daughter just attended Tuesday’s Boo Bash that was supposed to be sold out. They were selling more tickets the day of.

My skepticism is if all they were doing is reselling tickets that got refunded why wouldn’t they have system update dates to show no longer sold out and let people buy online? It really seems to me they want to sell more tickets without tipping off the general public to fact they are selling beyond sold out. I believe they even had opened additional capacity online after selling out firs week so shows they have capability to do it online.

Back then they claimed extra tickets was due to covid restrictions lifting but still got blow back since marketed as reduced capacity so there’s even precedent/explanation for why they are hiding continued sales. Maybe I’m wrong but I no longer give them any benefit of doubt whatsoever when judging their actions or intentions.
