Received my first pin code by email!

I didn't think they really did this for us Canucks - although I read on the boards all the time about pin codes. The code covers various dates though 2008

Save 20%** off the nondiscounted price for stays most nights 10/21-11/3/07, 11/11-11/17/07, 12/9-12/15/07, 1/6-2/2/08, 2/24-3/1/08, 3/30-4/12/08, 8/10-9/27/08, 10/19-11/1/08, 11/9-11/15/08 and 12/7-12/13/08.

I'll be holding on to this email in case we add a short trip later on in the year - I can't apply it to our upcoming trip in February - go figure!

If you are booking a trip in the near future make sure to ask if a code is attached to your name in case you can take advantage of this one.

DO you generally book through a TA or Disney Direct? I never received a code but i always book through CAA, wonder if the pin codes only apply to bookings direct?

How do you get on an email list for pin codes? Do you have to have an existing reservation? Or is there somewhere to sign-up for these.

I only ever book through Disney. But we have done this a few times and this was the first time I've ever received a pin code.
We were down in August and I went online before our trip into "our vacation" through the disney site and mapped out all of our plans. Maybe it was the use of this tool that got me on the list

I'm really not sure how it works. Sign up for an account online and order a vacation planning DVD - that way Disney will have your email in its system and know that you want to plan a trip.

I was one of the lucky people that got the email pin code back in january for 40% off!!

we actually where planing on going in 2009 BUT we could not pass that great deal. We ended up booking GF for 7 days in December !

I think it's a randome thing, but they are probably targetting Canadians now that our Dollar is doing so well.

I just got my first PIN also earlier today and I was so excited that I called right away. I called & spoke with someone who didn't sound very sure of herself when she told me my PIN code didn't work so I called back. The second person sounded much more knowledgable, so although I wasn't happy when she couldn't get it to work either, she was at least more convincing. She thought it seemed like there were digits missing but I re-read the number several times.

Has anyone ever received a PIN that didn't work? Could it be that my dates are already sold out (in one day)? I had her try for our upcoming JAN-FEB dates plus DEC 2008 dates as well, without any luck. Did I call too soon (since I just got the email today)?

We already got a discount with the Visa deal for JAN-FEB, so we are saving a little money. I was really hoping to get this 30% off deal at least for DEC, as that would make our DEC decision much easier!

I only got the e-mail for the free upgrade to park hopper/water park and more... I wish I could go this year!

Got my 1st pin code the other day. We were there Oct14-25. We were not staying on Disney property. (never have) While at MGM we were asked to do a survey, and when I got home I had an email to "continue the survey". I did it and the next day the pin code arrived. I don't think we will be able to use it, though I would LOVE to go back!

I got one but it's only good for certain dates in January and February. I've waited forever for one of these e-mails and it's only good for when I'm 9 months pregnant
