I have a AP rate booked through DU for YC concierge for 11/29 -12/6/03. This was booked August 31st and I received(9/19) a paper to fill out for special events-dining and anything else they might be able to do for me. Also received a key card for the elevator. I know many of you were wondering if you would receive these items if you booked through a TA. DU agent has allready taken care of all my PS and Spa ressie's but if was nice to receive the key card. I thought you get the key card when you check in. Is there a separate key card for the concierge elevator other than the room key card?

Aisling; My letter stated,(We ask that you inform the valet cast member that you are a Concierge guest. You will be directed to the elevators, where you will use the enclosed EXCLUSIVE CONCIERGE ACCESS KEY to gain access to the 5th floor.) A cast member will complete the check-in process. At this point I will receive my room key, which I believe will also be my elevator key for the remander of my stay. Susan

We got our key this weekend too!

When I spoke to the concierge also they told me the key is for access to concierge level for checkin only. Then, they give you room keys that work on concierge level.

where you will use the enclosed EXCLUSIVE CONCIERGE ACCESS KEY to gain access to the 5th floor.

This is so cool! Does AKL do the same thing, send the concierge access key ahead of time?
My kids are singing the song from Willie Wonka, "I've got a golden ticket...!" LOL We are all loving this!

Someone meets you at AKL. I think they notify Bell Services from the gate because someone is waiting for you at the door. The Bell person gets your check in pkt. and escorts you to your room (or the lounge if your room isn't ready). You get a room key - and, at your convenience you go to the concierge desk and finish your check in. (Unless they have changed since May)

Just a warning. After staying AKL conc. in May, my husband and son only want to stay concierge now.

I have a reservation - and have paid the deposit - for YC Conc level arriving 12/6 and I have not yet received a letter from Conc or an elevator key. Should I call and check to see if there is a problem? I have the letter from CRO stating my deposit is paid. Could my paperwork be lost somewhere at YC Conc?

This is our first time staying conc level and I am trying really hard to justify the extra $$. I was hoping for some help with PS and other things, but my 90 days is past, so I did it all myself. Now I'm wondering if it is really worth the $$.

We also are staying YC concierge for the first time 11-21 - 11-30-03. I received my elevator key in the mail this week also. I did have to call the concierge desk as I had not received anything and they said their mail was slow to call back if I had not received anything in another week, but it came before the week was out! YAHOOOO!!!! I would say it took about 3 weeks to get it. I had reservations elsewhere and when AP rates came out I changed to YC concierge, so that was about 3 weeks ago. I cannot wait I am so excited to be staying at the YC and concierge for the very first time I have no idea what to expect.

Hi... the key I recieved about a month before staying at Beach CLub Concierge was a bright yellow and was just for elevator access when you first arrive.

After checking in you receive your gold coloured concierge key cards and use them for the rest of the trip as they access your room and you can also charge to them.

4 princess morganne: I see you are arriving the day we leave. I just received my key last Friday. You will probably receive your card by Saturday. Susan

I was very surprised that I received my key and bunches of park info brochures via fedex and it had to be signed for. I actually missed them and had to pick it up at fedex.

I called last week to get itinerary planning from them and to plan some extras for my family upon arrival. Since I had booked thru DU I knew from these boards that concierge would send additional information and being so excited about the trip, I gave them a call.
