Hope this question makes sense…
Has anyone had any luck quickly rebooking their onboard activities when canceling a reservation and rebooking to a restricted *gty rate? Wondering how quickly the activities cancel in the system and are available for re-booking online. Thank you!

While not exactly this scenario, I've been on many social media cruise groups where someone cancelling an in-demand reservation (e.g., Palo brunch, cabana) would let the group know it was cancelled. Sometimes someone in the group would snap it up, other times it would be gone in a minute. They cancel and become available pretty much instantaneously. Of course, it is all luck of the draw. I would not be worried if the activities I was trying to rebook were not super desirable, but for something like Palo brunch or a cabana, it may go away. Especially cabanas, since sometimes those are taken by concierge and not released back into inventory.

Thank you. And so I guess another question would be how quickly my new reservation shows up on my online account so that I may book acitivities.:)

I cancelled and rebooked a reservation yesterday. As soon as I go the email with the new reservation number, I could add it to the app.

Yep--it is very quick. I usually have the new reservation in the system before I am off the phone with the DCL rep.

Thank you for the help above. I was finally able to cancel my reservation today to change to the restricted gty rate. Once I finished with the agent, I was able to immediately rebook all my activities, including the sold out Palo brunch. So apparently the cancelled activities immediately become available to rebook:)
