Rebecca & Wes DFTW 5/7/11 Wedding pictures FINALLY POSTED!

I'm with Fay, I don't know how I missed your PJ! Especially since you're another Rebecca, I have to support people that share my name! :goodvibes

Anyway.. WOW! Your plans look amazing! I can't wait to see pictures after your wedding and see how it all comes together, it seems spectacular.

Thanks for all the welcome back messages! You all are so sweet.

We are back from Orlando and we had the BEST time! Im so sad to have had to leave but sooo excited that we’ll be back in a few weeks!

We were able to get our marriage license on Friday which was quick and easy for anyone who is looking to have to get theirs sometime soon. Probably took 20 minutes. We took a couple pictures afterwards because we are weirdos and got all excited over it. Haha

We met with the church Friday morning and went over the entire mass and put in for our readings. We also officially secured our trumpet player which I am STOKED about in case I haven’t mentioned  The church is going to look beautiful particularly since it will still be ‘Easter season’ in the church and they will have all the flowers from Easter on the alter. Lots of lilies they said which will still look nice with my two hydrangea and roses arrangements Disney is delivering. I also asked the priest if he would mind holding the book with the vows open towards us so that we can read our vows instead of repeating after him (and I sure as heck ain’t memorizing anything because I guarantee I won’t remember when we are at the alter). I asked this particularly because I’m known for crying. I cry A LOT at weddings. Im talking embarrassing sobbing, baby boohooing. It’s actually pretty mortifying how much weddings make me cry so I am REALLY trying to hold it in for my own. I know the chances of this are extremely unlikely but I think that if I don’t have those pauses where the priest is feeding me the line I am better off. God willing.

Friday Wes and I got our annual passes!!!!!!! We were on cloud nine all day. We went to Animal Kingdom and both rode Everest for the first time! I’m telling you, we were like 5 year olds we were so giddy. I hadn’t been to Animal Kingdom in years. I could do the safari ride all day if they’d let me. On Saturday we went to Hollywood Studios with my brothers and sister who were on spring break. I’ll post some pictures of the weekend later today. We had a ball. We also met Byron from Get Lit Orlando at the GF in the afternoon to go over our lighting plan. We are doing 24 wall washes in amber lighting, pin spotting 11 arrangements and our custom gobo on the dance floor to match our ‘T’ from our invitation vellum.

Side note: Disney originally said that any pin spotting would have to be done through Disney because they cannot an outside company could not use a lift in the ballroom. Byron was actually able to come up with something to get around that and attach the pin spots to wires and make it work without compromising the pin spot. I would definitely talk with whoever you are working with as far as lighting before going with Disney. One pin spot with this company is $35 versus $125 per pin spot with Disney!!!!!!

Anyway, everything went great and I was finally able to show my dad the ballroom and Whitehall patio since he wasn’t able to come down with us last time.

Tonight I have my (hopefully) final dress fitting! I am also in the process of ordering our programs which will be with the same company we did our invites.

I got my rehearsal dinner dress delivered yesterday and I now I just need to order my shoes. I’m getting one of these….

They match the beading in the dress. It is by Sue Wong.

Do you mind me asking your workout? I'm on search for a new one...

Not at all. Current workout: I do circuits, so do A1,A2,A3 3 times, then move on to B, B1, B2, B3 3 times, then C.

Monday
A1 assisted chin ups 10-12
A2 alternating single arm shoulder press with dumbells 15lbs 8-9reps/arm

B1 Leg press machine 130lbs 8-10
B2 cross over lunges with 20lb dumbells 10-12 each leg
(alternate lunging with each leg, leg should cross behind the leg you are lunging on-- these work your butt awesome)
(3x ea)

C1 Froggers (plank position, jump with legs so that they are next to your hands, back and forth 12x, then roll over on back, lift your legs and butt off ground and roll up onto feet without using your hands 10x) also kills your butt.
(3x ea)

Tuesday
incline walk 20-30 minutes, changing incline and speed throughout (this is harder than running I think)

Wednesday
A1 lateral pull downs with bar (machine with the bar and pulley) 70lb 12-16 reps
A2 bicep curls with barbell, 10lb weights on each side, 16 reps
A3 back rows with barbell, add another 10lbs on each side of barbell you used for bicep curls, turn hands so that palms face outward, lean forward and pull your arms in to work your back muscles

B1 goblet squats, one 35lb dumbell in both hands and squat so butt almost touches the ground, 10-12 reps
B2 step ups, step onto bench with dumbells 20lb each hand, 20 reps

C1 2 minutes on bike, level 20 resistance KILLER

B2 back lunges 20 lb dumbells in each hand, 20-24 reps

C1 froggers

Friday/Saturday
incline walk again

Wow, so sorry if this is long and confusing. I am trying to really work my shoulders, back, chest and butt since those will be most exposed in my dress. As my fiance always says, abs are built in the kitchen so I don't do any direct ab work but you could always throw that in. Sprints are also really good.

Well...

I cant believe I havent seen this brilliant PJ before! lol :)

Everything is beautiful... and I bet you are so so so excited because its not long now... under 1 month away!!!! thats approx 29 sleeps! :) woop for you! :woohoo:

So... I love your centre pieces... Think your photos of the engagement are beautiful! You 2 are sooo cute!

I think your venue is to die for, and your bridesmaids look brilliant too! :)

I will be in Florida when u get married planning for our wedding too! We fly over on May 6th... YOUR WEDDING DAY! :) HOW EXCITING!!!!!

Any way... Just sharing the love!

Faye xxx

Good Luck!

OMG i forgot the shoes... I have been looking for months for shoes... and those are the only ones I had like a couple of days ago! I have to wait of course because we are over here and I want to try them on! :) Yay for liking the same shoes!... I thnk mine will be pink though! hehe little different!

XXX

So funny. Yes, I LOVE those shoes. I wanted to get the purple originally. I still think I might get them just because they are so beautiful.

Thank you. There are a few Rebecca's on here I think too!

I attended a wedding where Scooter was the DJ. He was fantastic. Light-hearted, great at interacting with the guests. He does bring props, so if you don't want someone with a headset and those lights used for directing planes dancing around your dance floor you will need to request that he not use them. If you have ever run a race at Disney World you might remember a DJ that had either big white Mickey Hands or a blow up guitar. That is Scooter. I plan to request him for my reception.

That is funny i am also having DJ scooter. He must be going from mine straight to yours. I found good things about him on the boards so i am hoping that he is good.

That sounds like a really good work out, i may try and work some of it into my current workout. Hope you are getting ready its coming so soon :cool1:

How exciting. We are getting married on the DCL Dream on May 6. And then a week at WDW. We are sooo excited. Funny thing is we go to Disney about once a month, however this is killing us that it is three weeks away.

Your wedding looks fabulous. Hope to see you around Disney!

So good to hear! Ya, I'm thinking no props. I REALLY want my friends and family out on the dance floor. Thank you for letting me know!

So I had my fitting last night. But now my final fitting isn’t for 2 weeks from now! There were definitely some issues. One being the odd way some of the ruffles lay. Example, the top ruffle ends at the front and center of the dress and looks as if someone just took scissors to it. I don’t think that is what happened, but the ruffle just ends right there in front of me. Not a big deal but still needs to be fixed. Other issue is that the folds in the dress seriously need to be ironed flat against the dress and it really bothers me because as it is now it does not seem form fitting to my body. I started getting a little emotional particularly because I don’t want the dress to make me look like I have a stomach especially when I am a fairly petite person in terms of bone structure and have been working my a** off in the gym and eating like a supermodel preparing for a bikini show!!!!!! I cried. Just a little bit of tears welling up, no sobs or anything too embarrassing. I apologized profusely because the lady who has been altering my dress is so nice and I didn’t want her thinking I was upset at her or that I was one of those dramatic brides because I think I am pretty calm and go with the flow even when it comes to the wedding. She is going to ask her manager to talk to the manufacturer and basically get approval from them to sew down some of the folds so that it is flat against my body, so I feel good about her solution. We’ll see what happens.

Then I went upstairs to get the tiara. Yes, I changed my mind completely and am doing a tiara. I decided to wear my hair down with loose curls/waves (not prom curls keep in mind. I loathe prom curls). So the tiara will really look give it something special. I don’t know if any of you have watched Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta but Flo was my consultant when I found my dress and she helped me yesterday decide on my tiara as well. The last thing I want is to look like I’m trying to be Kate Middleton since the royal wedding is the week before mine, but I really think the look overall will look more celebrity wedding and less princess, fairytale-like, which is what Im going for.

• I ordered the programs this morning- so check off the list
• I am ordering the bridesmaids tank tops tonight to wear while we get ready the morning of the wedding
• We added the cheese dips to our cocktail hour particularly for kids who won’t like lamb and duck, etc
• I ordered the gold sequin Badgley Mischka shoes for the rehearsal dinner shown above

Thank goodness for Amy. She has really been on the ball and I totally recommend her to anyone. I have emailed her the last few days with a million questions from our signature cocktail (peach bellini- we are from GA so it works) to how to give our guests the best directions to the Whitehall Pavilion and she is always so pleasant. God bless the woman is all I have to say.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your dress. But I'm sure things are going to work out! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!!

I wanna see your tiara! ;D I'm a hardcore tiara girl.. when else are you going to be able to wear one and not get looks like you're a crazy person?!?! ;D

BTW, I'm starting your workout next week! On top of some extra cardio! ;D

Im sure the dress will be fixed soon and you'd never know it was there! I love the shoes you bought for your rehearsal..where did you get them?!? Everything will work itself out, deep breaths! :cheer2: Oh and Im so glad to hear Byron was so great! Thats a great relief! :goodvibes

And here are a couple pics of what I'm getting my bridesmaids. As part of my gift I am getting their tickets to Epcot the day of the bachelorette party. I am also getting them these cute vera bradley ditty bags (different design for each bridesmaid) and in them I am putting these pajamas from VS to wear while we get ready the morning of the wedding and these black 'bridesmaid' tanks for them to wear with them.

Goals for the weekend:

1. Edit the proof for our programs and get order finalized
2. Get kids table centerpiece lollipop arrangement
3. Buy welcome baskets
4. Buy glass coke bottles for welcome baskets
5. Buy playing cards for welcome baskets
6. Buy almonds/pecans for welcome baskets
7. Buy gold rochelle truffles for favors
8. Buy clear favor boxes for rochelle truffles
9. Buy gold ribbon for favor boxes
10. Choose a picture of Wes and I that the caricaturist will our caricature
11. Buy gold pens to write the menu on a large gold mirror (it will sit against an easle for people to see as they walk into the ballroom)
12. Begin completing table assignments project
13. Purchase vera bradley ditty bags for bmaids
14. List of who to tip and how much
15. Finish final newsletter reminding people where to meet for the Dessert Party, etc.

That should be good enough for the weekend right! Kind of long but most of it is just purchases so it is definitely do-able.

We finalized our song list for the ceremony:

Prelude and seating of mothers - Ave Maria
Entrance of bridal party - Canon in D
Entrance of Bride - Trumpet Voluntary
Presentation of the gifts - How Great Thou Art
Communion - On Eagle's Wings
Recessional - Wedding March

Now I need to finalize my DJ playlist. The bridal party is walking in to 'Start Me Up' by teh Rolling Stones which should be awesome and different than the Black Eyed peas or something typical. Not sure what they should play when Wes and I are announced at the reception. ????????????

Don't worry, I'm sure everything with your dress will work out! Your bridal shower looked like a lot of fun, and I love all of the gifts you're giving to your girls! Good luck with your weekend goals!

I just caught up on your PJ. I hope you give us a report on your wedding! But more importantly HAPPY WEDDING DAY!!!! I hope you have a magical day as well as a magical life together!!!

Here's to a magical wedding day! :wizard: Can't wait to read updates from you!
