Just booked 5 dolphin swims at Discovery Cove.

I'm hoping to go to casualty this afternoon and see if they have any spare arms and legs to stitch back on!!!

Can somone PLEASE tell me its worth everypenny and that I won't regret a minute (or pound!) of it.

Stuart

PS - Dear Mr Mastercard .....

You'll love it. They don't bite. :p

A suggestion. Make sure everyone knows how to snorkel before you get there. Practice at your local pool or something.

Well it is a unique experience and one we certainly didn't regret!
With the limitation on numbers, there is an air of exclusivity about it

I would respectfully disagree with Steph - we'd had no prior snorkelling experience and a CM happily showed us how to snorkel when we entered the Tropical River. You'll also enjoy snorkelling in the Coral Reef too. (Snorkelling isn't part of the Dolphin Encounter).

If you intend to use your 7 Day pass for Sea World to the full (which is included in the price) then it is worth it! We really enjoyed being able to spend a few hours at Sea World and return another day, as we'd been used to being there from park open to close to make the most of the one day pass before.

Staurt, worth every penny!!!!!!
Take mega amounts of cash with you also, coz if the shop doesnt tempt you, the combination of the video, pics, and other little offers they throw your way will!!!.
Only word of advice is to split your group up for the swim, we didnt do this last time, but if you can get somebody in your group to video your dolphin expereince the video will be more of you than others in the group who you hardly know, the video wasnt that great a quality and it really is worth getting somebody to postion themselves to video you, you can gage where to stand if you watch the group before you.
I cant snorkel to save my life and it didnt stop me!!!, the food is fantastic!!!!.

Discovery Cove was fantastic, we did it last christmas. It was so good that we are doing the trainer for a day this Christmas.

And trust me my visa cried when I got the bill for that.

It is absolutely worth every penny! We loved it and it is a fantastic experience. We would have done it again this year except our youngest is still too young for the swim so we decided to wait till she is also old enough to take part.

LOL Stuart

I haven't done this myself but really want to do it one day - unfortunately my other half can't really swin that well so it's never been something that we can do, but it definately is something I want to do - from what I've read in trip reports etc I don'tthink you'll be disappointed. Hope all goes well with Mastercard ;)

I had a rough time with the snokeling Shirley. I don't know if it was putting my face down in the water or what. I can swim well, but getting the hang of the snorkel was hard for me. I wish I had practiced before I went. I saw some parents getting really frustrated with their children as well, although my son didn't have any problems. I guess it's a very individual thing.

Stuart, I'm not one for throwin £600 around (or £750 in your case) but believe me it's worth double for that first time experience. The whole place is sooo tranquil and beautiful, get there early and leave late, it's that good.

Like Jules says, it's worth splittin yer group and gettin to know where the interaction takes place to get a really memorable personal video (where'd yer get that idea,Pet ;) )

Got to go now before i talk meself into bookin it again!
