Reassurance that Virgin Premium Economy is worth the extra

Have just booked to go back again this year (I'm so excited!). Have booked PE with Virgin because of a disability which means I can't bend my leg, because it's just me and DH thought we'd treat ourselves with their miles & money offer and get extra legroom. Somebody PLEASE reassure me that it is worth all that extra?!

I once had an upgrade to PE which made me very, very happy. The legroom was fab, the service very attentive, and I had Billy Connolly sitting in front of me - but I don't think that's guaranteed with every flight....... Made me very depressed to fly back economy class.

I'm sure it is great but we travelled last year with my brother who is also disabled, 6ft 4 & can't fully bend one of his legs. We told Virgin about this in advance and they seated us just behind PE & his seat had the extra legroom. All for no charge. Although the rest of us didn't have extra leg room, because we were sat towards the front of the plane we got served first too! Bonus!

Having said that though - PE looked v.v. nice!!!!

Flew out in October PE after always flying economy. Brilliant. Get on first to be met with ''you are seated up the stairs'' GREAT!

Because there are only 30 seats the service is great.

You get off first as well, so you clear customs etc well before all the others join the scramble.

Flying out for 8 days at the end of the month and flying PE (miles and money). We cannot wait.

Out for 3 weeks in October also PE.

Will not fly any other class from now on even if it means only going once a year.

Thanks for all this, feel a bit less guilty now. Have been seated in the bulkhead seats previously by their special needs dept, or in back of plane where it goes down to 2 seats at the side, with my leg up against the side of the plane, but this year wanted a bit more comfort!
