Reasonably priced attractions near Disney?

Could any of you suggest any reasonably priced attractions just outside of Disney to consider doing when not in the Disney parks? There are 2 little girls - 7 and 4. I've already thought of Gatorland, outlet mall shopping and airboat rides. Any other fun/funky thing to do?

When are you travelling? And what is your budget? ("reasonable" can vary widely from person to person!)

Some things that come initially to mind....

Congo River mini golf (mini golf, gator feeding, fish feeding, etc.)

Aquatica (weekday tickets are currently available for $19 on select dates for the balance of 2014)

The beach (Cocoa, Daytona, gulf coast)

If you go on line to SeaWorld/Orlando, a weekday ticket is $50 Monday through
Friday. For a major theme park, that is a bargain price.
