Reasonable expectations

I'm trying to get a handle on how much I can expect to squeeze into one MM morning at DL. If we are there for RD (do they do a show like at WDW?) will I be able to do the following by 11:15 am or so?

Matterhorn
Peter Pan
Mr. Toad
Alice
Snow White
Pinnochio
Indy
Splash Mountain (use FP)
HM
Winnie the Pooh
BTMRR (use FP)
PotC
Jungle Cruise

Is that way too much to fit into 4 hours? Also, how long should I allow to get from park to park? If I leave DL at 11:15 can I reasonably expect to be at Carthay Circle at 11:50, with one of us stopping to get a couple of FPs along the way? TIA

Well it depends on what time the park opens. And do you yourself have MM on this day?

Assuming the park opens at 8AM and you have MM at 7AM and you arrive at the gates (as in your bodies are standing in line) by 6:40AM, and you are talking about this summer, here is my guess...

Matterhorn
Peter Pan (do PP before Matterhorn)
Mr. Toad
Alice
Snow White
Pinnochio

Done with the above by 7:45AM and time for another ride or two...

Indy
Splash Mountain (use FP) [when did you get a Splash FP? At 8AM? If so you cannot ride Splash until 8:40AM with a FP and it would not be worth it to even get a FP in this case]
HM

I would say the above could be done by 9:30AM - maybe by 9:15 - wihtout a FP for Splash.

Winnie the Pooh
BTMRR (use FP) [when did you get a BTMRR FP? At 8:45AM?]

With FP this would be done by 10:00AM

PotC

Now it is 10:30AM

Jungle Cruise

And done by 11:00AM

It will take 20 minutes to leave DL and get to CCT so you should make CCT by 11:50 pretty easily IMO.

:wizard:

I figured I'd get the first FP when the park officially opened (8 am) and the 2nd one when the window opened (an hour or so later). Can I skip getting the FPs for those rides within the first hour or two at the park? It will be Sunday, July 1, if that makes a difference.

I would get a FP for BTMRR at 8AM because its location makes it easier and not take the time to go all the way to Splash at 8AM to get a FP that you will use at 8:40AM. Not worth the 10 minute walk to save maybe 10 minutes.

Otherwise ride Splash at 8:20-8:30 thru standby and the wait will be 10 minutes max.

Only get other FPs if you plan to return to DL later in the day. You will probably not even need the BTMRR FP but it is located in a place easy to pick up on the way to Indy.

And don't for that Indy and Splash have Single Rider lines if you're willing to ride with strangers!!

My younger DD is only 6, so sadly single-rider is not an option for us yet. Should I ride Indy or Splash first? Am I better off getting a FP for Indy first thing while riding BTMRR and Splash?

You guys are so helpful! I can do WDW in my sleep, but this trip is stressing me out. Not helpful that it coincides with the first month of Carsland. :scared1:

That early in the morning I am not sure it matter that much. Since you plan to be gone by 11 and apparently not return to DL later in the day, then I would just do your exact plan but skip the Splash FP.

8AM - collect a BTMRR FP just because it is on the way from Fantasyland to Indy and easy to get - again, there is a good chance you will not even need it.

Indy thru standby
Splash thru Standby
Pooh - since it is right there by Splash and will have no line yet
HM
Use BTMRR FP
POTC
JC

and then on to DCA and CCT.

You should be good. :thumbsup2

Personally, I don't think a FP for Splash is necessary. As another poster said, why walk 10 mins out of your way to save 10 mins. Just doesn't make any sense to me.:confused3

I would always start with Peter Pan, work your way around Fantasyland- hit up Matterhorn on your way over to Indiana Jones. Honestly, you should be able to do Fantasyland & Matterhorn and get over to Indiana Jones before the park starts to get super crowded. I would definately send a FP runner to BTMRR while the rest of your group is in line for Indiana Jones.

The good thing about Splash being SO far away from just about everything, is that it will take awhile for the "offcial opening" crowds to make there way here. The idea is that by this time, you'll have done Fantasyland, Matterhorn, be in line or almost ready to ride Indiana Jones & have a FP for BTMRR. So if you do have to wait 20 mins or so for Splash, it really won't be that big a deal.

BTW- have you checked your daughter's height to make sure she's tall enough for Indiana? I believe this ride has the tallest height restriction and my DS wasn't tall enough until just last year. This might make a difference in your touring plans.;)

She's a very tall 6 year-old. She's 49" with her shoes off. She is kind of a ride chicken, though. If she hated Dinosaur, will she hate Indy too?

I was going to go from PP to Matterhorn before I did the rest of Fantasyland. I figured with the recent rehab it would be busy early on. Will I be going way out of my way?

Indy is not as loud as Dino and things don't pop out as much. There are some pretty intimidating things though (lots of skeletons, projected bugs, a giant animatronic snake, and a big boulder that looks like it's about to roll over you). Maybe check out a youtube video and make the judgment yourself.

You can't compare Indy to Dino. But Indy is too intense for many 6 year olds. My youngest (now 16) wanted so badly to ride Indy when he was 7. And every time he got to the loading area he decided to skip it. When he was 9 it was no problem. I would not push Indy on any 6 year old. It is a lot more scary than say a Space Mtn or Splash Mtn.
