Does anyone know what's in the welcome basket. I plan on ordering a basket and don't want to duplicate. Also does anyone know if you can exchange the couple massage for something else (suriel or rainforest for both) I have an illness so I can't be touched in certain ways ( ) and the massage may rub me the wrong way and I'll be in bed for the rest of the cruise. Can I also sub non-alcholic bev. for the cham. Thanks

The REAS basket we received included chocolates, champagne, and a photo album all in a pretty wire basket. You can ask for non-alcholic beverage, I believe they substitute sparkling cider or the champagne.

Not sure about the spa substitution.

I tried to find a picture of NYD's snake, but was not successfull. She may be able to post it. Anyway, the towel animal that was on their bed when they did the REAS was supposed to be a snake, well he must have been a little tired... Pictures are worth a thousand words in this case!!!! The room stewart just placed the bag of rose petals on the bed instead of around the room..

The only information I have on the REAS is I can get two massages because my husband just said eewwh . I'll have to suffer through two.

I don't think you can substitute other spa services. I would check with DCL to be sure as you mention there is some medical issue.

Thanks for posting the link, Steve!! Saved me the trouble of finding it on Webshots!! That snake and bag of pedals is funny now, but it just pissed me off that night...I really should have said something to the room steward, she was obviously clueless. So much for the romantic evening! Our dinner at Palo w/ Steve and Kelly was fabulous though!


If this happens to anyone else PLEASE let your room steward know about it.
