Rearranging the furniture to put up the Christmas tree...

In our last house we moved around the entire living room. Even the tv went into a different corner so the tree went in front of the picture window.

This house, well, we have the living room furniture and dining room furniture in the large room at the front of the house. No idea where we would move everything to make room for the tree there.

We put it in the lower level (split level house, so not really a basement) in front of the windows. We don't really rearrange a lot, just move the entertainment center over a few inches and it goes in front of the windows here. Works out well because this is where we sit in front of the fireplace a lot in the winter anyway.

I do have a designated spot now. I used to always put it in a different spot until I started getting more furniture that is harder to move. I only have one small chair to move now and the tree will fit in front of my front window which is where I was always wanted it.

Our tree goes in the same spot every year. We have to rearrange two end table and the loveseat, but that's ok.

The tree has a designated spot, and I just have to move the sofa table from that wall to behind the sofa.

We rearrange to put it into the only place it could possibly fit without turning the whole living room upside down. It´s a great spot though, right in the corner of a cornerwindow. We only need to move one chair so it´s no hassle at all.

We always put the tree centered in the front window. It looks so pretty there from both inside and outside the house. This was the first year we've actually had the front room (living/dining room) fully furnished. In past years we've only had the dining set. This year we had a couch, low bookcases that run the length of one wall, china cabinet and dining set, so it was a bit trickier.

I actually LOVE how we set it up though and we are thinking we will keep this arrangement even after the tree is down (replacing the tree with the play kitchen youngest ds is getting for Christmas). We have no need for a formal living room so ours is set up as a "quiet" play room with all the kids books, board games, and the toys they like to sit and play with for a long while (legos, beads) etc.
