Really dumb shuttle question

I was reading that the Shuttle is supposed to land on 12/21. Can you see it coming in for a landing from anywhere in WDW?

I don't know the specifics but I know a friend that used to live in Orlando and he could always hear the sonic booms if nothing else.

I've never been able to see it landing, when it takes off you have the advantage of the the flame. (that's all you really see) I think it's moving too fast. You do hear it though, it's easier to hear around glass buidings though.
